  • I'm trying to put this calculation in Construct from a spreadsheet.

    (D6/COS(PI()/C3)-D6)

It is set up similar in Construct 2 with D6 & C3 being variables.

The answer to the equation I'm testing with is:

    (600/COS(PI()/4)-600)= <font color=blue>248.53</font>

Can anyone help get the same result in Construct I think it's the fact that the spreadsheet is in "radians" and Construct is in "degrees".

Any help would be fantastic since I'm a bit mathematically challenged. Also the calculation must also work if D6=600 & C3=4 change.

    Thanks.

  • This looks interesting rexrainbow.

Thanks for this and your other plugins. Looking forward to more.

  • Added to my test version of Tiny Tombs and it works a treat.

    Excellent work Mipey.

  • Same here back & cancel work fine just when clicking done it crashes.

I have set the width of an object using player.health/player.maxhealth*healthbar.maxwidth and that works fine it just seems to be when changing a variable.

  • Sorry for the double post but I tried the quick fix that Ashley posted in the other thread but still get the same crashes.

  • I'm trying to build a simple expression in Construct 2 R66 but whatever I try C2 just crashes with no error messages.

I'm building a quick tutorial and just trying to subtract 5 from health on a mouse click, but when clicking done Construct 2 just stops working.

I get the same error as described in this THREAD when using a global variable but a hard crash with no error display when using instance variables.

Sorry for the post was going to post in the other thread but it's a different error but may somehow be related.

  • Been playing around in Paint & C2 and added some more stuff.

Link updated in the first post.

  • Nice Mipey. Thanks for the info I'll wait for the new plugin before adding spritefont to my game.

    Thanks <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Thumbs up from me here Mipey.

  • Nice game gammabeam.

Love the graphics & the idea behind it.

    :)

  • Runs nice and smooth here on FF 7.0.1.

Love the chunky graphics, don't change them, colours OK but don't change them chunky pixels.

Love the BRIX font to would be cool if the score and other info was the same. Rojohound made a spritefont example HERE thats if you have all the other characters.

    Keep it up :)

  • Thanks guys.

Hopefully this won't end up too dead like most of my Construct Classic stuff.

    :)

  • Hello again.

Started porting a little platform game I started to Construct 2. I've added quite a bit in a little time and would like to see how the player handles and controls.

Controls are the standard C2 controls arrows move - Shift Jump.

  • Very cool, only problem is that hearts stopped spawning for me after the 3rd or 4th =/

Yeah I've had that happen can't seem to pin down why it does.

That is a very cool game! I really like that retro graphic feel too. I grew up playing a whole lot of ASCII games.

I think the graphics of the original put many people off. I was going to change them but still had the files so they got reused.

    Hi,

The game is good and the style of the graphics of this game is special.

    <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />      <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I like a bigger game screen(800x600) but the current size of the game screen is also nice.

Thanks. A bigger screen might be OK but I don't think the browser will cope with more echoes on the screen.

Hey, May be a problem but chrome crashes after i get like 20 hearts because the scripts use up too much memory.

Thought something like that would happen I have an array storing the data for the echoes to follow it's probably that. Still it was a fun experiment in Construct 2.

    Thanks guys <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hello all.

I've ported an old Construct Classic game of mine to Construct 2.

    It's called Echo Thrust.

The aim is simple collect the hearts on the level. Each time a heart is collected an echo of yourself is created an follows the path you took, you must avoid these echoes, the more hearts you collect the more echoes are created.

    You can play it HERE

    Post your scores :)
