  • Not tested anything but guessing you'll have to convert the number to a string.

    TileSprite.AnimationName= str(SettingGraphic) & "Left"

  • This is really nice idea! When I first played I didn't get it but now I think it's really good. It's just that jump sound is very obnoxious, and the game is begging for a chiptune music of some sort. Add additional gameplay mechanics and you are golden!

Thanks. Yeah the jump sound can be annoying it was just a random sound using

    BFXR

    .

I've made contact with a very nice guy via GameJolt who has offered to make a chiptune for the game, just waiting for him to hopefully get back to me soon.

I did have a few ideas for some more interesting score combo's/multipliers but never implemented them.

  • I've released my little mini game Super Zombie Combo Jump Turbo on GameJolt. The game took just over the weekend to make working on and off. The game includes 11 achivements using the GameJolt API by using this amazing little PLUGIN.

Here are a few of the badges for the games achievements.

It also makes use of the GameJolt highscore tables, can you beat the current top score of

    433300

  • It's the beta. I keep forgetting to mention that.

Also I have just updated to the new beta as I was one behind earlier, so the newest beta is 166.

  • Go with Pixel's method for the timer in your full game.

Like he said "every x seconds" will be inaccurate but using "every x second" was a lot easier and quicker for throwing together an example.

  • No other way as far as I know. Quick explanation see if that helps.

    Have global variables "Shoot=0" & "playing=0"

Every 1 second add 1 to shoot but only if playing=0.

When shoot = 5 create your ball and set shoot back to 0.

When the ball collides with the player set "playing=1" and "shoot=0"

create your button or make it visible or whatever you are doing.

When your button is pressed set "playing=0"

and because a picture is worth a thousand words here's a screen of my events that I threw together.

  • I think this is what you are after.

  • Never played Doodle Jump, but know of it, so not 100% sure how the controls work.

Made a quick example for you how I would do these controls.

  • As usual after struggling for an hour or so then asking for help I sort it out.

If I replace PI with 180 my answer matches my spreadsheet.
