  • Hi guys... now ...from reading and asking arround the biggest performance killer is probably the image size from what I understood. I have a question...maybe there is no difference ..but maybe U know

    If I need a bigger "end level boss sprite"... is it better if I draw it in photoshop imediatelly bigger...or is it better if I draw it normally with as smaller image size and scale it in cs2 ??? That's a performance question...basicly: which choice is better if I have to choose one of this two: having a big sprite...or streching a small to bigger size (quality is not important of the image) ?

    A other question... I studied a bit arround for my game and have decided that enemies and player have this pixel size to preserve details: 190x190 pixels more or less.... is that too big ...or could that be ok in ur opinion ?

  • Hi guys..I have many copies of the same object.....and if my player jumps on it...all will be destroyed

    I did this:

    Global variable enemy :2

    ( first event ) player-on collision with enemy = player simulate jump

    = system subtrack1 from player

    ( second event) system -if variable is 0 = enemy is destroyed

    as soon i kill one...all enemies die...I know it's a super simple thing...but I don't see were my logical error is

    I tried to put the second as sub event...than only the first enemy dies...the other not ...

  • Hi guys...that's a beginner question:

    I made a browser game...on pc it works fine...I have a galaxy S4 ...so a quit good mobilephone...I went to the web url to test the game on my mobile...it was HORRIBLY slow

    Is it the same like testing directly on android...or did I do a beginner mistake ???

    Is it faster directly on android ???

    In debug mode..can I somewhere simulate android, windows or macOS ???

    Because I see only the performance of my pc for now...and it is a strong pc...that is not the best one to test a game for "every one"...

    shaking I mean... that the objects are vibrating or shaking...so not standing still...or at least having a not realistic gravity/movement...

  • thanks... that looks already close to what i need...but sometimes the barrell has a unrealistic position..just standing on a edge...is there a way like in phisics that it goes to lay down on ground or other barrels realisticly ?

    questions2: in phisics...is it possible to make the falling/bouncing objects not having always a "shaking" movement...at the end I avoid phisics also for that reason...

    If a barrell is slightly rotated...and it falls on a flat surface...can I make it slowly rotate in order to touch the ground... ?

    any way...that was a super help:)

  • Hi...I don't know it that is possible...imagine I have 3 barrels...one on the top of the other.

    If I go to shoot the lowest one..and it disapears..can I make falling the other barrels on the ground that is a solid ? Bouncing is not neccessary...but it should stay on the ground... all that with NO phisics !? can I do that ?

    If this is possible...can I make the player stay on top of the barrells like solds...but the solids still fall on the ground if underneed there is free space ?

  • Oh ok, I did not know about joints... the behavior is that the player is shaking madly arround :/

  • Hi guys, from what I understand phiscs and solids should not be mixed.

    I made my platform become inmovable as phisic...but my player car that has pinned several sprites on it, has a strange behavior.

    My need:

    I have a car that drives on platforms...but there are a few barrells that I like to push realisticly if my car hits the barrells...what do U guys suggest ? I like some simple sollution if that is possible:)
