  • Woah, it almost make's me think of a 2D version of the latest Tomb Raider game's with the climbing and jumping to rope's and physic's, very well done game imo, it's too bad nowaday's mostly nextgen 3D game's get attention not these masterpieces.

  • Me too, F5 to compile would be great.

  • Well if you say so, I'm fine with it

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Sounds like it will become scripting obligatory, I hope that in Construct 2 you aren't obliged to use text editing, sound's kind of hard, I presume it is optional, I can't say about being easier for team editing since I never worked in a team tough.

  • Samus Aran kicks Chun Lis butt, dude.

Konoko (from ONI) kick's Samus butt anytime.

btw I remember seeing a nextgen Mario remake somewhere.

In C2 .cap files will be pure XML. Or so the story goes...

What will XML feature compared to what Construct have now? Will this even change Construct in some way's?

  • The game look's like a classic platformer game, look's interesting from the screenshot's.

  • Cool

  • You're making a 3D game in Construct huh, sound's interesting, I wonder how far Construct allows 3D as of yet.

  • So you're a game maker user Guyon eh, I have created and published Game Maker 7 games on Caiman website, I know little gml tough as I wasn't very fond of coding myself but I was a user of GM for a good while (I believe GM6 and 7 were the ones I used before discovering Construct)

Now all I need is to get off my lazy butt and start working on a project, I just can't get on the mood to create games <_<

Ashley: It's been a long time ago since I read about python on Construct, last time I read about it it was said nobody even used it or cared about it since Construct did everything without the need to use Python.

  • Last time I heard, Python in Construct is very weak/limited and need's alot of improvement's.

  • Oh OK, Thanks for answering

  • Oh I see, so for the ones without a DX9 support they won't be able to run it at all? or Construct automatically turns the DX9 effects off for computers without DX9 support?

    That is all.

  • Thanks for the answer but now I have another question about requirements to play games made by Construct.

Do games created by Construct require a powerful gaming computer to run? does it require to support DX9 to play?

This is not for me tough because my comp is powerful but this is merely for others so I'l know what are the requirements if I export my game to the public, if they have a computer that doesn't support DX9 will the game just gives them an error and they won't be able to play it?

  • So flags will be remembered if you go to another layout and go back to the layout right? or to trigger an event from another layout, I'l give this a try then.
