  • Sourceforge seems to be down atm, both this version and the one on the site cannot be downloaded, mirrors could solve this incase sourceforge could be down like now, I used to use the one on the site but now I feel interested on using .82, dunno if it's a good idea to make a game on this version or this one is a merely experimental version anyway.

  • I don't know what they are exactly called but what I mean is

    1) Defeating a boss and returning to the boss select screen will make that boss button darker/locked (you can still enter in it but when you get to the boss room you just end the mission, like in the megaman games)

    2) Defeating a boss and returning to the same room (different then above) in a one-big-level game will not re-trigger the same boss fight (metroid-esque games and maybe RPG games as well)

    3) the boss cannot be fought at the moment (altough you can enter it's room, the boss may be not in the room or it's static like it's egg is not hatched) and you have to visit the room later before you fight it (you know, get an item or something before you can trigger it)

    Are these possible on Construct and if so what should I search for to get/find/read the tutorials or examples about advanced use triggers/variables.

  • Looks interesting Chezzy, it almost looks like (or atleast for me) Flashback game on SNES I might post some screenshots of my projects too (tough I have 2, one barely finished and one is a Sonic fangame with editted sprites and everything, I may make some original stuff in it however)

    The barely finished one is a remake of my latest game (and possibly last) on Game Maker 7 E.V.E X, the remake is renamed to Gunmetal however as it causes confusion with E.V.E online which it is not related at all to space combat or anything that genre.

  • FSM, now what does that remind me of... Oh yeah Max Payne, I don't know what does this do to Construct but from what you wrote it should make things easier.

  • Oh OK, I hope this feature is into consideration then, I don't suppose it would be hard or much of a problem to program it into Construct.

  • Is is possible to put objects in folders in the objects panel? kind of like hero > megaman, zero and items > health powerup etc...

    In both Game Maker and MMF you could do folders to put objects inside so you will open the folder and find the objects without trouble, is it possible in Consruct to make folders for the objects panel? if not I really want this to be implemented, it will help me alot.

  • I am trying to create a character interact with the blocks and moves them and rotates them when he touches them, how can I do that? yeah it's something like in the nextgen FPS games like Half Life 2, Portal and the such, how is it possible to that?

    is it possible to add a gravity gun in Construct as well? not that I am going to make one tough but I wonder.

    Also why are some words excluded in the search? I tried searching for "physics" and got that the word is too common as well as some other words are blocked because being too common.

  • I see, I downloaded the normal stable version from the main site, now that the built on the main forum is unstable should it be safe that I use it to create a game with it or it's mainly for beta testing?

  • Hi I just downloaded Construct today and here's what I did

    I set the main character to platformer object and everything looks normal except for his animations like walking they just don't play, it's stuck on one frame not animating and it is looped too.

    Is this a problem with Construct or am I doing something wrong?
