  • Why not Perl?

    Why not PHP?

    Why not ASP.net?

Comparing HTML5 and those technologies is just misinformation/ignorance towards HTML5 and web technologies in general.

The technologies you quote are all server side, not really prone to graphical handling.

HTML5 is executed directly in the end-user's browser taking advantage of modern graphic cards very much like native exe.

Also, you're two years late on this discussion. We haven't had an HTML5 nay-sayer in that time since HTML5 has greatly improved performance/reach and function wise.

And it is still improving every day.

Good luck with your petition as well, but you're asking for something that's already in. Node-webkit is C2's exe support. It even supports Mac and Linux binaries, even more than CC supported.

    You're welcome.

  • It's not very clear from your short first post what exactly you want RookieDev.

"Infinite terrain", from a top-down perspective ? side scrolling ?

What is to happen to this terrain ? On it ?

Do you want large blocks at different angles ? Would a terraria-like terrain do the job ?

There are procedural generations examples already listed in the "how do I FAQ", have you checked those out ? Are there any help to what you're looking to do ?

When asking for help, be the most precise possible in order to get the most precise answer possible in return. If you ask a "vague" question, you're under the risk of getting vague answers as well.

I understand your frustration, but on the other hand, I do understand mystazsea's as well, I share it often.

I'm under the impression of seeing a sea of all the same questions in the forums over and over again. And too vast questions in scope that seems to show that the person asking doesn't really realize/know what they are really asking for.

mystazsea: Sarcasm is not an obligation, prefer to just not give an answer rather than venting in public.

  • Search for the term "IRC" in a search engine

    Or eventually use Mibbit.

  • Please post in English on the forums or at least post a google translate in English to your posts. Thank you.

You can also try to post your question in the spanish/latin american FB C2 users group.

  • No need to delete it, just stop posting your "alerts".

  • Very nice assets and great generosity.

Keep up the great work !

  • Haven't tried implementing it, but LittleStain's second and third posts seems to be the good idea to go with and to implement.

I don't know where you get the "Touch.Beta & Touch.Gamma" from, I have no idea how it can make any sense since it's concatenation.

  • No capx, moved to closed.

Provide all the informations required please.

  • Are you talking about a mobile device ? Or on computer ?

Are you graphic card drivers up to date ?

It might be worth filling up a bug report rather than just complaining in the open topic.

It's a good practice to make new saves (not just save the old file in the new version) when updating. I guess you'll remember it in the future.

There is a way to revert back your project though, as explained in that tutorial.

  • Practice.

Break down mechanics in a new project, even if it stands to the state of prototype and not game.

This way you gain experience in analysis (breaking down the mechanics), using C2 (production) and being able to assemble several mechanics at your rhythm.

No tutorial for a specific game type ? No problem anyway, you take what you have to take from the already massive amount of tutorials available, check also out the how do I FAQ and thanks to your breaking down skills you then assemble all this to make the kind of game you want to make.

It takes time and effort, but the good thing is that actually you have more time than just until Sunday for you. I recommend reading this tutorial I've wrote last year and that seems appropriate to your current state of mind.

No need for a recipe to follow, programming is about abstract thinking and imagination/creativity, in relation to the tools you already know.

  • If you have the user copy/paste the infos into a notepad file, that can do the job.

Otherwise, you might want to look at the webstorage plugin.

It saves datas on the user's computer (not on a webserver) but it's not in an "external file", browsers can't do such things for security reasons.
