Kyatric's Forum Posts

  • This topic is the typical type of wrong topics you post.

Unrequested notice at random people, demanding replies and attention, again. It's not the first time your make this kind of topics.

Go back to the previous ones of the same sort as the answer was already there.

Sending unrequested PMs is also something wrong.

Basically demanding and seeking attention is just the wrong way of doing. Considering us "YOUR" community is wrong. Rather consider yourself a member of "THE" community is an healthier way of seeing things. And this change of perspective might help you feeling better about yourself ?

If you have a meaningful contribution, people will command it. If people don't, maybe your contribution is not that worthy.

But contributing expecting something in return is perhaps not the best way to go. No one forces you to contribute, if you don't feel rewarded for it, just stop. There is no obligation.

Basicaly, you're still a kid, you need to grow up.

It's not meant as a critic, just an observation. As a youngster it is hard to understand, I know, I've been there.

And once you've grown up, you get it.

    Not much else to say.

  • hostage: Checking for errors in browsers

Apparently you're doing something wrong with the web audio API.

  • No need to post multiple instances of the same thread, as mentioned by zenox.

Also nice way to make yourself look like an insulting person in the community right away. You are the one wasting our time.

You posted again the very same post with the very same title. That's not a way to prove you're really aware of what you are doing. Or if you did on purpose despite netlabel and forum rules then good job getting yourself badly noticed.

    I've merged both threads.

Also your question is just badly formulated.

And in the end, Zenox is right, do try both softwares and see by yourself which one your prefer.

There isn't a "better" software. Both allow you to do 2D games on mobiles. One does with coding, one does without.

Can you tell which one is better between an apple and a pear ?

No you can't, because it is just a matter of taste.

    Same thing here.

  • Happy new year with a few early hours then.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • R0J0hound: Very well sir, moved and added. First addon of 2015

  • R0J0hound: Is it ready to be moved to "Completed addons" ?

If not, I'd rather wait yet a bit before adding it to the current list.

  • In December 2014

    New releases

    • Release 191 Beta - New render cells optimisation, fixed an editor memory leak & more.
    • Release 192 Beta - Updated Cordova export, Z Order Bar improvements, bug fixes & more.

    Beta users,

please provide feedback to Ashley, he's planning on releasing a stable release ASAP but needs feedback first.

The features listed here are only the "highlighted" features for each release. Check each release page to see the complete changelog and comments for each version)

Be sure to keep updated to the

most recent release of Construct 2

If you think you have found a bug in Construct 2 you can report it in this forum BUT

    • Make sure it is not already a reported bug by searching through the "Bugs" forum
    • Make sure it is not a bug in your events, a difference between what you have coded and what you would expect
    • Make sure you're using the very latest version of Construct 2 (beta possibly, stable if this is the very latest release available)
    • Attach a .capx of the issue in the simplest manner possible (no 100+ events capx, no 10 mb capx)
    • Make sure to read How to report bugs before posting and providing all the required informations (your configuration, the steps to use to reproduce the bug, any relevant information you can provide)

It is really important since about 50% of reports aren't bugs which takes time out of working on Construct2 directly.

Be responsible, help everybody by making sure it's not your events in cause first.

      • Browsers are not OS components - An article/rant where Ashley explains about how some vendors (Microsoft and Apple) treat their browsers as component of their OS, meaning to update your browser you need an update from the OS itself. This article present the numerous drawbacks this method has and have a look at a good way of doing things.

    Reminder

    Former retrospect

As an added bonus, here is a list of the former "What you may have missed" posts for the year.

Happy new year 2015 to all !

  • Apparently, according to the badge on your avatar, you got your license working/activated.

  • Happy new year all.

  • Indeed, as there was already a topic wishing happy holidays, I merged your new instance (that just adds noise) to the already existing topic.

Why did I not made a notice for it ? Because I've already warned you about paying attention to what you post, haven't I ?

Edit: No answers or excuses from Naji since.

    Outrageous. ^^

  • Don't make the opacity 0 rather use the action/property "Visible".

Set it visible "Invisible" and it won't be rendered.

It still will be in memory though. So if you want to lower the memory usage, be sure to check for the memory usage tips and this article on how not to waste your memory.

  • I'd be tempted to say the specific game you are referring to is made in 3D, but if you make a google search for "Coin Dozer" I found this link/clone which "feels" 3D but supposedly is 2D and just a matter of perspective and possibly some physic behavior in disguise.

Beyond a certain Y on screen, the coin is considered to be on a lower level, and possibly will only interact with the elements of that level/layer.

Can you do a specific clone of Coin Dozer for android, I doubt since it's a 3D game (unless you use Q3D).

Can you make a game that feels like it, I do believe so.

  • All should be fixed now.

There is something on the websites that is named a user profile that you can edit and complete.

That has a field which is for the youtube channel.

So if you click on the profile of any user and she filled their youtube channel you can find it here.

Thank you to be more considerate about what you post Toddler.

  • Not sure what "Coin dozer" is. A game I guess.

It is possible to render a 3D animation as several frames and so make it in Construct 2 as a Sprite and its animation.

A bit like the sprites used in this beginner tutorial.
