  • [quote:11l4iywv]Hmm, Im experiencing now that I can not connect to the signalling server anymore xD

Same. Beta is beta I guess

  • Looks fantastic! Really a lot of detail in the ships. Also I liked the handling.

I was just dropping a lot of bombs by accident.

  • jwoods, Actually I usually have mouse scrolling disabled begause it gets annoying on debugging and I forgot to activate move up and noticed when it was already here. Well I was just too lazy to re export

[quote:18slevtl]Is there a tutorial on building isometric RTS?

To my knowledge no, but try searching isometric and you will find something.

[quote:18slevtl]What did you use to create your building and character sprites?

Blender. I am learning to use that better. It isn't as hard as I remember. Also with cycles render I don't think I ever need another 3d program.

  • Oh sorry I miss understood. I ment that different line of sight behavior. Turret also has range so I think the difference really is that if you use line of sight you can block it by solid behavior.

  • SHOMOFO, Already did just that

  • [quote:3sjh43iu]Just left and right on x plane? Correct me if I am wrong, but do you mean, physical mouse movement speed on the table, correlates with the turret turn speed in the game, so the mouse wouldnt pop up out of the game?

Yes this is what I should have said

Don't know if there is a way to lock the mouse to the layout, but I quess it will disturbs a lot of players if they unfocus by clicking outside.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • , If you mean where they go when they are ordered to build. The building has variable how many workers are on the job and image points with numbers for all the possible workers and when they are ordered to the site it loops them through and they find path to basically variable.workers+loopindex (don't know if that explained anyhing). However if you have a lot of workers selected it doesn't always work too well. I already rebuild the whole system once and maybe have to do it again at somepoint. Similar system to c&c would have been much easier to do, but I guess I want to struggle with this

Would be nice to see how that Diablo-like game is working out.

  • Depends how all the things associated with this are done like what kind of movement scheme are you using. Grid movement? Adventures of Lolo?

  • I don't think you need to calculate the distance anymore when you use line of sight. At least if you don't want them to be closer together. You could even take the turret target UID and give that to the others.

If you still need the distance you could compare distance between enemy base and enemybases.family.

    (distance(Enemy1Base.x , Enemy1Base.y , EnemyBases.x , EnemyBases.y))

  • Actually I think games nowdays use more swearing than before. Like in new Shadow warrior sometimes I get a bit suprised and think it's a bit out of place on that game. Maybe it's a selling point these days. I mean the old Lo Wang didn't swear :,( at least I don't remember there to be much else except crude humor.

Then again something like Gta or South park would be rather disturbing without harsh language.

  • Or maybe you would't need crosshair if instead of following invisible mouse it could turn based on only mouse.x movement. Though I'm not sure if this is doable if the game runs on window.

  • Really liked these. Also great avatar

  • Didn't see the mouse so it was really hard to aim. Otherwise seems quite fun.
