  • Oh my. Thats quite the awesome changelog. Definitely gonna devote some good hours to testing it

[rant] and believe me, I have the time. A family PV bug (that I also posted on the tracker) just freaking nuked my latest game... go figure [/rant]

  • Awesome!

Hard to believe something like this was accomplished in just one event

  • For the most part, I say that Construct has pretty much all of the worst bugs taken care of. I've been using it since.... well, forgot when, but It's really came along.

I used to be a former user of MMF and Gamemaker. Back in those days (coupla years ago) I would have preferred those over Construct, but NOW, considering how far Construct has come along over the years, I greatly prefer Construct over either software.

And as for commercial projects, they are allowed. I believe there is a forum topic addressing that matter.

  • Ok, that first one sounds a bit too good to be true

Still, if you have some money to forkout (I think its between $75 to $100) I reccommend FL Studio. Simply the best (in my opinion) DAW around.

  • Sorry to bump an old-ish topic, but is this still being worked on? It would be a shame to see this die.

  • Yeah, im trying the same thing for use in my danmaku game, but the layout object simply cannot be altered at runtime so that makes it pretty much useless as of yet.

It needs to at least have the option to switch layouts (with optional transitions) and pause/unpause at runtime, etc.

If this were possible, many awesome things could be done, such as split screen multiplayer, minimaps, minigames (as mentioned above) and much more.

  • Well, theres 901.23 seconds of my life I shall never get back.

  • that looks really good kaos

are you an artist as a hobby, a student, or a professional?

More hobby than anything. To be honest, that was my 2nd real pixel project.... Meaning I've only been working with pixel art for less than a week (at the time of posting that). However, I have been seriously studying art (on my own time, as well as a few classes) so I guess you might classify it as student and hobby

As for pillow shading... yeah, on the leggings I _sorta_ pillow shaded it, some intentional... some laziness

Right now im working on my game again (nearly forgot about it >.>) so I may have some better things to show later... maybe.

  • Whoa nice!

    Its turning out really well!

One annoying thing though, I keep getting stuck in the wall and... I know your new jumping style is more realistic, but honestly its a bit maddening, lol.

  • Yeah, that makes me mad too

Oh, im sure that ones already planned for C2

But yeah, I dont think I ever forget to change the games name tho, so no issue for me on this end

  • This is cool and all, except you do not need any kind of permission to start such a forum. That's like asking Microsoft before making an XBOX fansite.

That aside, I think its great that construct members are looking to expand the community, as the forums here can be a bit limited in SOME (possibly non construct-specificy) aspects. (Remember that art forum debate, guys?)

A more recent project of mine.

    Kagamine Rin from Vocaloid.

    22 colors, 50x97.

  • Heh, this game is awesome!

You should make the persists name appear above each ship though, that'd be epic.

Also, dont get rid of persists for now, this is rather entertaining

  • Im loving those floating platforms!

I managed to get them all going at the same time, and hopping between them, I managed to get pretty high in the air

  • Nice work guys! Cant wait to try this version out.
