  • I was recently stuck on a Chromebook which is pretty much a laptop built around a browser. This meant no Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator for me! I found a fork of Googles SVG edit called MethodDraw:

    It lacks a working grid in the current alpha, but just about everything else is there for making quick sprites.

    I really prefer the layout to Inkscape for quick doodles.

    It exports .PNG and you can save in a very clean SVG format as well. It is very easy to read in a text editor if you decide to animate it later. (Great for webpage logo's and headers. SVG loads very fast!)

    It is just HTML5 and JavaScript so you can probably run it with a tablet too.

    If you run it in android firefox it gives a java error. Remove the sound, and it will work.

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Step 1 add a sound to a layout
    • Step 2 Run the preview over your wifi with firefox, and you will get the message.
    • Step 3 etc.

    Observed Result

    Life was lost, many injured. People will remember 11/24 for years to come.

  • I think the coolest part is the importing. You can grab your old mod maps from Half life, DoD, L4Dead, or counter-stike and have them up and running in a few seconds:

  • Please make bug reports for any issues you see. We cannot correct any bugs if you don't do that.

    Node-webkit is based on the Chromium engine, and in the majority of cases runs identically to how it does in Chrome. There should not be any serious differences there.

    I am not the one who needs to verify my claims.

    If you got it working please prove it.

    As the /b/tards say.. "Video or it did not happen"

    I can not do it in a VM or dual booting from generic Ubuntu 13.04 32, and 64 bit.

    Please prove your claims to diffuse any further talk about this.

    It should not be the software consumers responsibility to test advertising claims.

    You have to run it as root? I really hope this is not the case.

    If you need to run as root then you need to change some of your permissions.

    Do you know how to chmod RafaelHp? You might need to chmod some of your binaries to allow regular users to access the dependencies that are making you use sudo.

  • dont use it to full up your background. It is rendering all the crap on top of it.

    just use the effect for small puddles and stuff.

    What Distro, and version of linux are you guys talking about?

    Scirra must test with some version and distro of linux,

    So what is it?

    What do I have to do to match Scirra's Linux?

    What does Scirra use to verify their Linux compatibility?

    Which distro did Scirra use to test with to make this claim? What version?

  • Well, no, if it is working out for you then you are an inspiration to us all.

    Default Ubuntu failed for me.. 32 and 64 bit..

    Thank you for verification that maybe my apps will run on mac.
