  • For 1: Click your project root (eg: Application1) in the projects bar on the left and then scroll down in the properties box on the right. You will see all of the pre-defined controls are changeable there.

For 2: You will need to use the INI object or the Binary object. I'd recommend the INI object as there are many tutorials for it on this list.

    Hope this helps.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Any chance of this being stickied again?

  • The reason why is because they want to see if it is done in similar similar fashion with Construct. In the case of MMF2 it usually is very close to how Construct does things, as Construct was influenced by MMF/MMF2.

  • And support for WAY more model files than just .obj

Construct does support those formats, but "officially" they say .obj as that is what they've tested.

  • I did a search, and there is a game being made in Construct called Hammerfright (previously named Hammerfight 2) so I can see where the mixup was made. It's on the Daily Click.

  • I believe he is trying to save something he made from a tutorial.

Anyway, it sounds like it was using your desktop as the save spot. The multiple files are backups of the same project, each time you save it will create up to 5 of the most recent saves so you can easily revert changes if they break the game, or you accidentally made them.

The .persist file is used by Construct to remember which event sheets/layouts you had open.

  • To quote a genius in the field of questioning high rez: Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like

  • I've heard someone mention that a complex/custom collision mask will produce some slow-down, but I don't know if it will be significant on its own. Best bet is to use box or elipse wherever you can though.

  • If your phone recieves emails, then sending an email notification would do the trick. Still, it's a waste of time for them, considering they'll need to host the forums anyway for people who don't want to use the application or can't (Linux, Mac, Phone browsing).

An easy fix is for not using Internet Explorer is to use Firefox, or Chrome.

  • I don't mind photoshop, but dislike how bloated it (and most adobe software) is. As for Gimp, I didn't like interface, so I just use Paint.Net instead.

With some of the freely available plugins, Paint.Net is almost par with Photoshop =]

  • I've seen some commercial tools made in Construct, but no games yet. Mostly because Construct hasn't been out very long compared to more established makers.

  • Please stop using these really odd sites Stalker247, use the stuff Kyatric provided. In fact, just use the drop box one. Drop box can host anything and is the one most people here use.

  • In that case, you can try Infiniminer (also open source I believe) and a really HD version of Minecraft can be found here (not open source).

Also, I've seen someone make a 3D game in Construct before complete with 3D models (before the 3d model plugin was made). He made everything from scratch and math though, so it's possible, but very hard.

  • I don't know if it's on the community developers minds, but if it isn't then it will probably not be finished sadly.

However, using R0j0hounds render to texture plugin I think you can change the current texture of a 3d model object. That would make it possible to at do facial animations of the object.

  • Here is a free and open source Minecraft clone if that's what you wanted.

And if you want yet another open source one, try this.
