• Well, thanks anyways but what plugins did you use and then that whenever you run it, it saves the file to the folder and when you open it, it shows ASCII Characters and the topic that i posted.

What?

• Hi Zakki, I hope Construct helps you make some awesome stuff =D

If you ever get stuck feel free to ask for help on the forums.

• RTS games are kinda pointless unless you have online play, and imo are horrible in 2D, not to mention incredibly complicated to make.

For online, this is true but thanks to SciDave's online plugin there is starting to be a point in making one.

Command and Conquer was best before it went 3D.

They are complicated to make though, this will probably remain true when making a good RTS is attempted sadly =/

• ? This one

• Oh sweet, glad to see it works after all. Thanks for sharing DravenX =D

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
• I've looked through both videos and the only thing I see in those, that isn't in that example, is the shadows covering other objects.

Unless you mean the smooth edges of the shadows, I'm not sure if this can be controlled from the shadow caster behavior/light plugin.

• i dont see %20.

both links dont work for me.

It may just show up as a blank space for you, see if there are any empty spaces at the end of the links in your address bar.

• Ohh, in that case then yeah, using mesh deformation should work fine =D

• Anyone who's played carmageddon 2 will know what I'm talking about.

I spent a large amount of time playing Carmageddon 2, but if you're using the Physics object then there is no way to use a custom collision mask that isn't pre-defined...unless you use smaller objects pinned together and change their positioning (kinda like voxels).

• Ahh ok, well, you could try applying different distortion meshes to the sprites.

Another method is to create a sprite for each stage of deformation and then add a custom physics mask for them. Then use the render-to-texture plugin to make the cars have different textures while still using the same base sprite.

• Hello everyone I am new file my name is Gustavo and I live in Lima Peru, and I just found this great program that looks great, I hope to find people speaking Spanish or Spanish to develop or answer some concern among us all.

Greetings to the world

Tavitooo

Hi Tavitooo, welcome to the forums. I'm not sure if we have many Spanish speaking members, but hopefully we can still help through translation tools

• Is this what you mean?

• Hmm, maybe make seperate parts for the car and then hinge them together. On collisions, remove hinges until the parts completely fall off the chasis.

• People just like to describe things in terms of what they already know.

We often get questions on the forum like "how do I make a game like [obscure game from the 90s]?"

The next question is usually "what was it like?" :)

This. In terms of tools, it's like when people ask for something named differently in Construct, so they have to describe it for us to understand what they mean (action point in MMF becomes image point in Construct).

• Looks cool, this might be the first time I've seen someone use the Card Game object
