    Congratulations for you!

Maybe you can make a giveaway for lucky person?

That is a great idea. Especially if you know a University who could use it in a contest to get more awareness to Construct.

  • Great idea but pubCenter in my experience has not been too great. Low fill rate. It could be just me. AdMob is a lot better in terms of usability. The pubCenter website for managing your ads is pretty bad.

That said, I have only tried banner ads with pubCenter with Construct.

  • Closing, please follow the bug report guidelines: you must attach a .capx that reproduces the problem, and please include all relevant information inside the bug report itself without referring to any other threads (which usually is just confusing because the thread talks about a bunch of other unrelated stuff)

Ashley, did you read this, or did you just see no capx and closed it? The first thread had barely any information about the bug in the report...I thought I included more. I thought I was pretty clear that any capx is doing this, including the samples that come with construct. Now I have to recreate this, with the exact same information and include the sample capx, that you already have. Seems pointless.

In this case, including the first thread was very relevant. It shows what I have tried and what solutions have already been suggested. The thread was only a few post, not hundreds of pages. I explained the issue, and included the thread to show more if people were curious but it was not needed for the bug report itself, it was supplementary. Guaranteed, if I did not link to it, someone would have told me to look at that thread and try the solutions there.

So, before I go recreate this. Any comment on what exactly you want? Otherwise, I am literally recreating it exact same with the sample capx's that everyone already has.

  • Problem Description

I am getting the same error as here https://www.scirra.com/forum/r210-windows-10-export-build-issues_t150802

After I export my project and try to build it in VS2015, I get an error saying the Target Version is not supported. I have tried a few things recommended on google and in the thread above, such as:

    Repaired VS

    Reinstalled VS

    Changed the Target Version

    Re-built the solution

    Tried multiple different test capx's

Made sure description, author, etc was filled out

    Attach a Capx

None...all capx do this, even the sample ones included with construct

    Description of Capx

Not capx related that I can tell

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

Export capx to windows 10 Try building or running solution in VS2015

    Observed Result

An error occurs referencing target platform version

    Expected Result

    It should build and run

    Affected Browsers

    Not browser related

    Operating System and Service Pack

Most up to date Windows 10

    Construct 2 Version ID

    v211

    Any suggestions?

  • Try Construct 3

  • I am still getting the version error that others had. I have tried re-installing VS, my version number is set to 1.0.0.0, I have a Author/Description set. Any other suggestions? (I am using the latest Scirra version)

  • Tool Madness has been updated! Here is the update information:

    • (Add) - Added sounds to the game
    • (Fix) - Fixed a flashing background issue on some devices
    • (Change) - Improved the scaling on different devices
  • IJCT which platform are you building for?

When you load your project, click the project name. On the left, where you can enter the description of your App and choose different options such as WebGL and Zoom, there is a pre-load option.

You can also use the Audio object in an action to pre-load specific sounds.

  • I have been sharing this bundle with a few fellow developers. It is worth it for Spriter alone.

  • Hi,

I just came across a weird situation today. Now when I upload an update to Google Play it says

    Upload failed

You uploaded an APK that is signed with a different certificate to your previous APKs. You must use the same certificate. Your existing APKs are signed with the certificate(s) with fingerprint(s):

    [ SHA1: 5F:1F:66:25:07:29:79:D1:B2:52:91:E9:0F:DA:2F:19:3B:27:8D:9E ]

and the certificate(s) used to sign the APK you uploaded have fingerprint(s):

    [ SHA1: 32:37:51:EE:E6:6C:2F:AA:50:D5:31:0E:70:37:1A:C3:1C:B2:45:FD ]

I just couldn't delete this post so I decied to tell you that I have found out that I have somehow created 2 accounts for Intel XDK and I solved the problem. sorry for bothering this thread.

    Happy Developing

Thank you for the update. It is always helpful when people solve their own issue and post back with the solution.

  • Hi folks,

I recently tried doing some Audio with WP8.1, it was ...interesting. For anyone trying it, here is my experience so far (I did some searching around, but only found a crashing issue which I do not experience):

    • Turn Pre-loading audio off. With this turned on, my app took minutes to load (unbearable load time that should not happen). To try and still get pre-loading, I tried manually pre-loading the audio on a custom loader layout. This made no difference I found, it also loaded quickly unlike pre-loading during the initial load.
    • Do not play more than 1 sound at a time. Playing more than one at a time can get...messy and glitchy.
    • The first time someone hears a sound, it will lag (have a delay). Once it is loaded and fires, it works fine. Pre loading should solve this, but for some reason it does not work in my experience on WP8.1 (even with pre-load during the initial load turned on).

Any other tips that you guys have?

    You lost people here.

  • Tom and Mrcoldmu

One thing I noticed is Mobile Web Apps no longer show support for Android (new ones, old ones still show they work for Android)...but they use to. Is there something I am missing ? My previously submitted Web Apps work fine on Android, but my new ones show no availability to Android.

Google is failing me, I cannot find any recent changes in Amazons App Store.

EDIT: It appears Web Apps are no longer supported by Amazon (see this: http://forums.developer.amazon.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=15172&#15172) So Tom I think the contest needs to be clarified a tad. It says to submit your app to the Amazon Store, but then later mentions Android apps. You can no longer use a Web App for Android - You have to package it as a APK and upload that now.

  • Ashley, I did a bit more digging... and I had protected my dev-site with a .htaccess control.

removing the htaccess controls allowed the game to run. somehow the permissions granted to access the index.html and other scripts did not follow through to the sub-directories.

given that, I suspect it could be more to do with the edge engine than the C2 code.

    R

I just loaded up Windows 10.

I am getting a blank page (page not found) when testing my apps in browser for both Spartan (edge), IE, and Firefox.

  • TiAm - you'd be crazy to have a HDD and SSD and not put the OS on the SSD.

People actually do that ?!??? Wouldn't that be similar to owning a car and a truck, but using the car to move all your furniture?

  • i've bought lumia 930 like a few days ago. call me crazy but that phone owns.

    Windows phones are great!
