  • I seem to recall something about that hundredfold. Is there a tutorial someplace?

Do I even use a layout for what I want to include or just the event sheet?

    Thanks

  • Let me try and explain better.

Right now my game has seven layouts. I have buttons with the same name on each layout. So I have to copy the same code to each button on each layout.

Is there a way to just make one button that will will show up on all layout and just have one set of code?

codah I am not sure what you mean. can you explain?

  • I am working with a number of layouts for an RPG game. I have been adding the same command buttons on every layout with the same code for each one. "Attack, Defend, Spell, etc). For example in the forest, swamp, and desert layout

Is there a way to use the same set of button on every one of my existing layouts? Example?

    Thanks

  • Very interesting read newt. Thanks.

It helped me re-think my graphics and cut down Image memory per screen by 50%!

  • Love the plugin, but I need to toggle the Radio Check box Visibility in the event sheet. Can you please add a Set Visible Action?

Also minor bug under Group of Lines:

Both "Enable all lines" & "Uncheck all lines" vanishes and reappears when the mouse get close to them. to make then reappear I need to hover over the action above them and slide my mouse down.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Been away for a long time and starting Construct 2 seems like a new experience. So much has changed since Construct 1.

Anyway I started to work on an old project and and wounding what screen size I should use. The big memory hog will be 10 or 11 event sheets with full pictures backgrounds. This will be a logic game with very little animation.

2160×1440 images seems too big but that is what my surface Pro 3 screen is. If I drop it down to 1280x800 that would reduce files size immensely (a 1280x800 at 96dpi png picture is about 640kb). Also what dpi should I make my images for a 216 ppi screen?

    So my questions are:

What is a good screen size for an 11 picture game.

What dpi should I make my images.

Can I make this a single file game?

    Thanks

  • Guyon - Awesomium only does Windows, Mac and Linux desktop. For Android we're looking in to directCanvas and CocoonJS, but I'm not sure if they work on a Nook.

    Thanks Ashley,

Nook Color & Nook Table are propitiatory android device, so unless you Root them they will not pick up any Android market.

Nook Color can run HTML on it, but like the PC does not like to run a html game directly. Is there easy way to run an HTML game without the web?

I added more explanation to make things more clear. Thank you for my first ever Vote!
