  • Hi guys,

So it turns out I am having this problem with the jump-thru behavior even with the latest Construct 3 version.

I place a small sprite with jump-thru as a hitbox.

Then I try to jump on those platforms but sometimes the character gets stuck mid platform. This happens only when falling from the jump-thru platform.

Here is a depiction in the video:

These are all the hitboxes of the platforms where the player can jump at.

How can I avoid the player from not falling through?

  • Nice atmosphere! The music, moving layers, art...

Impressive to me that you created that on a game jam.

I got stuck on the lock pick, I didn't understand what to do or how to get out of it.

Move left or right to find the combination, press E for the 3 combinations and the lock will open.

But yeah the guys also were impressed for such a short time.

Will work on a different game though.

And yeah the game also needs alot of work on leveling the difficulty.

  • Hi guys,

So I kind of thought of restarting game development after 7 years.

The reason is that I have many 2D game ideas that I think they are worth creating.

I took part in a game jam and this is the final result after 48 hours.

I am very open to critiques.

  • Hi all,

I just started working on a platformer game.

Right now the game is being developed mainly by me and there will also be another guy who will work on character art and animations.

For now I only made a design and thought to listen to some feedback before moving on with this kind of art style.

Let me know what you think!

  • Did a wall for a background.

  • Lamp.

  • Hi GSquadron.

First of all, Good luck with your project, you seem to be producing assets at an incredible rate.

What I'd like to know is: does the above picture represent the over all look ... and zoom level/camera position of the game?

Hey steve, thanks for your reply!

As a camera viewpoint, that is how the game will be.

For the graphics, I will add textures, lightning and shadows just before I start working on gameplay.

This room will have auto-guns which will shoot the player.

You will need to take the keycard and recover your health by jumping up the crate and getting the medipack.

  • There will be electronic keylocks. You will have to buy a mobile phone as well as the app to unlock such doors.

Once you start cracking the code, you will need to be within that range for a certain amount of time until it completes.

You will also be able to open cupboards and find items which can be used in game.

  • Door. Will add this maybe to a boss room.

  • Skill tree.

  • Pistol design.

  • Buttons.

  • Did bag design today.

  • Designed the head today.

  • I look forward to seeing more of your progress with this game.

Can you explain in more detail what challenges the girl will face?

She will fight enemies with pistols, will have to crawl through buildings and uncover secrets.

Did the skeleton today, will add more detail tomorrow.
