  • As far as the gameplay goes, it is good - simple and fun. Pretty well-made for what seems like your first game. Being able to unlock boats is a nice touch, though it seems like just a cosmetic thing? I couldn't discern any performance differences between the boats I unlocked.

Thank you for the compliment, and the boat upgrades are purely cosmetic. After your suggestion, I think I may update the game to have boats with special abilities.

One suggestion I have is to keep track of different game stats, like the amount of taps made. I would like some embellishment - animated water would be nice, for starters. Would also be nice if there were other obstacles besides logs.

These are great suggestions, different obstacles would provide some variance in gameplay. As for the water being animated, sadly it is not possible to animate tiled-sheets in Construct 2 at this time.

All that being said, I'm not a big fan of in-game ads, so this won't be staying on my phone.

    Overall: 3/5

Putting ads in the game killed me but I wanted some sort of compensation for the game, and users prefer ads to paying for games usually, at least for smaller arcade games with no story.

Thank you for the score and the honest review, it's good to have someone on the forums who is not afraid to be honest and also give some useful advice.

    Welcome to the forums!

  • Looks fun! i think it has pontential for being a great hit!

Really?! That's fantastic to hear! Thank you!

  • You need to change the ID name in the crosswalk project settings inside of the Intel XDK. Also update the ID name in your Google play app page to match it.

    For example com.gamename.yourcompany

  • Hey this is great Patrick. What app did you use for the pixel art?

I used Photoshop and the pencil tool with anti-aliasing switched off. It was a lot of fun to do it since I've never done pixel art before.

  • This is really fun haha! Reminds me of cookie clicker but I get to slap my computer around haha.

  • Awesome work!

Thank you jook00! I really appreciate all the support this community has given me!

  • I believe cocoonJS should be gone and stay gone. Ad support through mopub had terrible implementation/ad fill rates, the splash screen was a blinky nightmare and the launcher crashed too much. Crosswalk with the apache plugins is the near perfect solution(at least for android, I have never developed for ios).

  • Best Timberman clone I have ever played! Seriously well done!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Nice, i like this game!

Thanks iceangel! If you like it a lot make sure to share and review it!

  • The graphics are horrible, but damn is this fun!

Really great job, I could see this going far if you put more time into the visuals of the game!

I'm using Unity3D as the engine and Inkscape for graphic design

Ummmm.... Is this post allowed on this forum then? This is a place for construct 2 games, not sharing your work from other programs.

  • Plays really well and I haven't seen any game like it, the ads were a problem for me however because I had to constantly click through multiple pages of ads between even one replay.

    Nice game though!

  • This is a really great game. It is original, fun, challenging, and I love the art style!

I agree with momo, making the game a little more "needy" would make it really great. You could have the customers get annoyed after awhile and then leave and you could also have a trash meter or something for when the lobby gets dirty.

I have a Galaxy tab 3 lite, and worked like a charm!

That's amazing to hear! Now I can put it up on the tablet market with confidence.

  • Interstitial ad always fails to be received, I even tried using the provided capx(with test ads turned off), the latest plugin (helloadmob8), and both free 3rd party plugins (rjfun latest and release).

Interstitial ads work with the original "com.google.admob" (except for on interstitial dismissed event) but banners do not, so i'll just continue to use that one.
