If you have a server to host the game, you could just use PHP and make an online text-based game. It wouldn't be any harder than Construct. It might even be easier. Guess it depends on your knowledge.
For the record, I wouldn't play a text-based game. I have too many non-text games to play.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
A bit of copying and pasting events could save me loads of time. I end up using the same action multiple times in my 'code' and want to clone it instead of choosing it again from the menu. I'm using Python a little right now, but I'd like to edit events this way as well.
Yes, I know how to use Python, too, but I don't know how to use it with Construct. Granted, I haven't even tried. Some direction would be helpful.
Thanks for fixing that crash issue with the animator tab.
Keep bringing us new behaviors, too. Thanks.
I'm curious what types of online games we could make by version 1.0, but I'm sure the first feature we would be able to include in our games is an online scores table. Technically, you can already accomplish this.
If I actually got paid $1000, sure, I'd made something with it. But a contest? Pfft.
I tried Popfly a while ago, at the beginning of the year (maybe sooner than that), but I absolutely hated it, and the XNA, well, I still haven't given that a try, but the videos they have are pretty. That's what Microsoft's good at, selling crap.
I wonder if you're truly asking for help or expecting someone to do all your work for you.
I have not tried this yet, but, if Construct supports MIDI audio, I could make simple tunes for it. It's actually starting to sound like RPG Maker all over again.
Maybe we should have a folder structure thought up for when we start compiling the resources?

That describes my chip, but I got a $40 AGP card from TigerDirect. Now, I can play Portal and Oblivion.
RTP was the term used for the resources required by RPG Maker. If you haven't figured this topic out by now, I'm suggesting a package of royalty-free graphics and sounds be included for use in Construct. Obviously, it would be optional, and I volunteer to help with the project by supplying whatever sprites I make in my own project.
Anyone else like the idea of a "Construct Graphics Package" or "Construct Optional Resources"?
I would be willing to be a proof-reader or spellchecker for whoever makes the tutorials in the future. Serious.
I can now say I've experienced this crash as well. I now wish I saved my progress more often. Oh well. Hope it's fixed in the next release.
Thanks, Instance. The animations need fixing now, though, so there's work to be done. Thanks for for showing me what needs to be done. Cheers!
Also, Attan, the 3D box is temporary. I don't want a top-down character. Thanks, anyway.
I'm still trying to get the animations to work, but here's what's done. Layout 4 has all of the actual game stuff. I thought I would get feedback on the look of the character (body template) and hope for assistance with the animations.
