  • But then I need to include the python dll, correct?

I'm just suggesting a way to more quickly edit events.

  • They don't show up! You click a name and it just directs you to the main forum index.

  • Thanks for an update, but it seems my bug is still in there. Also, when do you think we can get the animations fixed?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I'm more familiar with scripting and actual code than the way Construct displays events, so I thought it would be nice to have an option to switch between "expert" and "novice" mode on the event editing page. Also, I think it would save everyone time trying to duplicate events. Just my opinion.

  • My card is an ATI Radeon (AGP, forget the actual model name) with 256mb. I'll run the app you supplied in a couple minutes.

I rather tell you, because, well, I like to make games for people with crappy computers, you know, the on-board chipsets with little DirectX support and no chance of playing Portal and Oblivion.

    Ok, here're my results:

    Device name: Radeon X1300/X1550 Series

    Pixel shader: 3

    Estimated VRAM: 368 MB

    Motion blur: Yes

  • Since the animation options aren't ready, I'll just wait on that.

  • There isn't a folder.

  • Doppel, that cap is very helpful... thanks.

I was surprised at how simple that was. Now, I can't seem to figure out how to set an animation for walking in each direction. Any help is appreciated. I feel like such a newb.

  • I get this error about unpacking resources or something. Hold on. Here's a screenshot: http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/8369/erroril6.png

I did not get this error in the previous version, but I always used the template options then. When I use the templates to start a project, I get no errors, but it always seems to require DirectX, even on regular apps. I'm fairly confuzzled.

  • I was making a RPG in the style of The Sims or MySims in Adobe Flash CS3, but I started playing with Construct, and I like it so much I want to make the game in Construct instead of Flash. However, I have some rather advanced features planned, and I'm not sure Construct is able to adopt such functions just yet.

One such feature is the ability to change various parts of your body. I'm keeping it simple and only having two parts to your body: the body and the head. The body is one big suit you can change at a clothing store or in your bedroom. The head is set during character creation from a drop-down box.

Do you know how I could go about adding this feature to a Construct game project? What would be most efficient?

  • I can't make apps without using the DirectX game template, which isn't a big problem for me, but some people might not be able to use the latest DirectX. For example, people on library computers and at school can't use my apps (or my games for that matter).
