  • Awesome demo once again Rex! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> I'm also a fan of Triple town on my android phone - this is amazing!

  • Wow this is incredible!! I've been wanting to have a go at making a candy crush (bejeweled) type game for a while now <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hi Wrangler, are you still making packs? I'm still keen to look at the character ones if you decide to make them :)

  • Search for a roguelike that R0j0hound made. I can't remember the title of it, but he made an example for a procedurally generated dungeon like Binding of Issac.

  • Nice one thanks Mike! I couldn't find a decent simple example that worked consistently, but this does the job <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Welcome! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> That sounds like a cool idea. There are some really good platformer tutorials on this site which I also need to have a go at some stage, and they are definitely beginner friendly and don't really require coding experience.

  • Thanks InvaderX :) I deliberately made the bad guy hard to see to add to the tension - that was something I got from playing Slender.

The static is done from the webGL effect - pixelate mask that I applied to a rectangular sprite that covers the screen. I crank up the intensity in proportion to the distance of the shadowman to the player.

  • Nutty Run looks awesome - I remember the entry for the win8 comp. Roughly what rates are you charging?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Cool game dude! Love the surreal style you have going with your games <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • The graphics look cartoony and cool! <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Whiteclaws - Thanks! But, sadly no I got most of it from opengameart.org

    - Thanks! No you're not dumb - I may have been a little vague about the objectives :) You basically have to collect all of the scrolls scattered over the level. They are usually glowing, and there are some light particle effects on them. Once you have all of them you'll be prompted to return to your car to escape.

  • Hi All!

I had a go at putting one of my games in the Scirra Arcade in the Chrome Web Store:

    Chrome WS Link

It's basically my attempt at recreating the horror and creepiness from Slender, only from a 2D perspective.

    Please have a go at downloading it and give me some upvotes! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle"> <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Feel free to give me some feedback, I'd really like to do a bit more with this game.

  • That's pretty neat! So all the zombies have solid behaviours so they don't clump together? I wonder if there's a way to make some of them take a longer path

  • Wow thanks for the links guys! I so badly want to make a roguelike - just got to get some free time first. fyi r0j0hound made an amazing capx based on Zelda here: http://www.scirra.com/forum/how-do-i-can-make-a-rpg-game-like-zelda_topic58974.html

This is on my todo list to play with <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">
