  • Also Ashley while we're at it on Cosmetics think you could make the default application icon transparent like the normal Construct icon? The white annoys me a bit.

  • Har har, sucks to be you.

    Just kidding. I have diarrhea.

  • Mobile phone games are more of a "Look what I can do" thing anyway. They were designed for making and receiving calls, not gaming.

Just see if your phone provider can provide a card for a laptop, I use my laptop as a phone all the time

  • Also, to stop something rotating use Set Angular Velocity.

  • Or maybe allow it to scroll to alphabet on keypress, like in an Explorer window. Just press T and it scrolls to the next item starting with T, from current selection or top, to the bottom then back to top.

  • I also think that Enter should go to the next entry field or press next when you're on the last one, but I'm not sure how hard that would be to implement.

But I know that I can get through an event in about six seconds if I know where everything is, that would probably cut it down.

Perhaps shift+enter could do that when you're on a multiline text field.

  • I think you've got it right up to the end, deadeye. But if I'm reading it right he wants the bullet to keep chasing the first helicopter, even when the turret isn't targetting it, but for new bullets fired not to chase it.

Because he's picking the first helicopter for the homing bullets and all bullets are globally homing on that target he can't have bullets chasing different targets.

  • Sockets can be made in Python now, although a non-Python way would still be better.

  • Nah, CoD isn't my cup of tea. Well, not priority, anyway - apparently its only real redeeming feature is the multiplayer which I have tried and dislike. Same kinda goes for Crysis, except I want that for the mods.

    Thread re-railing...

  • That explains why the 8800GT gives me such a raging hardon.

Oh well, I'm getting one for my birthday in June, along with a Q6600 and 3Gb of 800MHz DDR2 RAM and all other associated paraphernalia (like the case, hard drives, cables, mouse, keyboard, 1280x1024 monitor, speakers, headphones, motherboard, etc. a whole new rig - even a new table!)

  • Perhaps you could change the installer and make the prompts for the VC++ and DX9 optional? It is kind of annoying having to cancel them every time I update.

I suppose to do that you'd have to make your own installer though, wouldn't you.

  • Yeah, 2.0.

    2.0, not 2.a, unfortunately.

  • Runs perfectly on:

    Intel Celeron M 1.86GHz

    Intel 945GM Express

    502MB RAM

    Windows Vista Home Basic

I clock in around 50-60 FPS when just idling.

I hope you don't mind me stealing that rain effect

  • It does have PNG transparency. But sometimes it imports the files as if they're on a black background, which is somewhat annoying.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Perhaps a function for GridX(#) and GridY(#), and use that grid in Construct to do that?

Then you could spawn the appropriate objects at the right grid spots, move according to that stuff, etc.
