  • Comon guys, what am I doing wrong? I say make revolute joint, I say dont collide, and yet the arms are colliding, please help? do I need to put them on different layers? WTF?

    The dont collide codes are on an every tick event, because I wanted to get it through the computers head that I don't want them to collide!

    I realize its not necessary. If you hit the first ok button it will reset the location of the rag doll, and if you watch closely you will see the arms act as if they are hitting, or revolving on ''the same bolt'' as it were.

  • Ok, I am making revolute joints of my arms to my torso,

    I am saying disable collisions between all objects,

    arm to arm 2, arm to torso, arm 2 to torso etc etc.

    and yet arm one, and arm 2 still act like they are hitting, they wont just rotate independently, they act like they are both bolted with the same bolt ( if that makes any sense )

    Am I forgetting a step? I am using .86

  • my second question is, are physics canon games in?

    ( where you have a canon and you destroy physics walls)

    I was going to make this one be futuristic, and have ragdoll people in side of the buildings

  • oh my second guess is the blocks in the middle are stuck in some kind of endless loop because they are constantly bouncing off of the surrounding blocks?

    again just another guess.

  • my guess is objects are over lapping? and maybe its making the physics engine freak out?

    it spawns about 30 blocks

    with 27 blocks on a previous level it was no problem, but now all of a sudden its lag city.

  • ok so im making this physics blocks game, i have an editor

    i made something, i loaded it it worked fine

    i made another one, not really bigger or anything ( same amount of blocks)

    only when i run it it completely freaks out, and lags like nobodies business does this happen if objects with behavior are spawned overlapping or something? why does it do this?

  • UPDATE: slowed enemy movement again slightly

    fixed glitch where AI units would use weapons that were disabled in game set up

    put a timer on when you could click remove the scoreboard on the end of the game so no accidental removals, letting you view the score at the end of the round.

  • ok little bit of a nub question here

    I want to transfer construct to a new computer but i dont want to download it again and get all the plugins, it would be nice if i could drag the folder to external hard drive, and then form there transfer to the new computer so i dont have to muck about with getting all of the plugins again =/

    second if i do have to download it again im not sure how to get the 'full ' paid for version again.

    anyway im just being a noob.

  • Yes it is a bit of a DL, and big export, I hope this doesnt scare off too many players, I think what I am struggling with the most about this is, its this big of a file size when I only have 1 level, I havent even created the other levels yet.

    really awesome game here thats about to be demoed at kongregate, feedback is essential.

    noones going to even point out the glitches are they?
