  • That's what I was thinking Ash... How would you pass a variable to the PHP file?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hey guys

Any way to read/write to a server side file? Specifically a Hi-Scores table.

    Cheers

  • Working fine! <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> You rock, Ash!

  • Yes, its a problem with ATi Radeon Mobility graphics cards it seems. <img src="smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hey Ash. Not working for r51.

  • Hey Ash, when I try and compile I get told that my Plugin ID is missing. But I defined it in the runtime.js

    Any thoughts?

Also, is there any way to directly inject JS through a plugin? As in the user defines a JS script to be executed as an event.

  • Hey Tulamide. Replaced the .cap with on without MagiCam.

The coordinates, and the global variable to be assigned to those coordinates, all check out in debug mode.

    Woah, woah, woah....

    Let me just check here.

Are arrays in CC 1-based? Have I been using C2 too much?

EDIT: Got it working! Had to change it all to a 1-based system and it worked fine.

  • Hey guys

I have a bit of a problem with this cap:

    dl.dropbox.com/u/1378330/002.cap

Basically, event 43. When the mouse is clicked, the values should be assigned to the array. However, they aren't, and I cannot figure out why. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Knowing me its something ridiculously simple. But if someone else can see where I've gone wrong, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • OpenGL seems to be incredibly difficult to get working on lots of hardware. It's also difficult since I don't have one of the problem cards to test on, so I can't just spend a few hours and fix it, I have to just make guessed changes and see what people say. When I'm back I'll poke through the 47.2 -> 48 changes again more carefully and see if there's anything I can change.

No rush Ash. You take your relaxing week. PM me if you need me to test anything <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Still not working with r50. I miss Construct. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Ah well, forces me to learn C++ I spose...

  • So two questions:

I've been told that XHMTL5 will be hardware accelerated. Is this true? If it is, will Construct 2 want to take advantage of it?

Secondly: can Construct 2 theoretically access the microphone? Or send/receive audio streams?

  • Consider what a quest is. It is an abstract task that should be completed by the player. Construct 2 provides lower-level support than this. You must create your own quest system inside Construct 2's scripting environment.

  • I know what you mean, Aindra.

lucid - there are certain types of data you just can't assign through a loop. For instance, I was making a name generator (where each coordinate is given a string for a syllable, such as "Jo" or "hn") and you pretty much have to do it Aindra's way.

It would be amazing to have a spreadsheet-like initialisation event.

Edit: That would be awesome, Ash!

  • Hey Ash. Doesn't fix it for my Mobility Radeon 5650 :( I've checked, my drivers are all up to date.

  • Heya.

r47.2 was working great for me. However, in r48, the layout does not appear:

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1378330/Capture.PNG" border="0" />

Even when my mouse is at something like 100,100; where the layout definitely should be, it is not shown. I can create sprites in the layout, but they are also not displayed. This is happening with new and old projects.

    Specs:

    Windows 7 64-bit

    ATI Mobility Radeon 5650
