  • Yep, the same question by me, this is where i'm stuck right now.

    How the flow of sub-event goes inside a loop ?

    This example isn't working, index just keeps increasing by 1 endlessly

    Your entire loop is running maybe 60 times a second. You need a condition to make it only run once. Like a "System: Once while true" above it, or put it under "on start of layout", etc.

  • Just, Sprite.IID? If by 'check' you mean 'retrieve'.

  • Thanks for fast response. I know but if you look closely if you hit the red or blue box you got 5 points and thats not what i want only if you hit the yellow one. The problem is if you read my post. It looks like you can click through the sprites.

    Edit its the Objects -> ItemGroup = "Tools" Toolnames.At(Objects.AnimationFrame)

    Bit. It changes Toolname to a Frame number.. Which always becomes 0. It need to be a String Text.. Hence ToolName lolz

    Edit2: Fixed it.. Had to set The Toolnames array width to 0 XD

  • Seems to work ok for me. Click any colour, I get 5 points. Click blue or red, they get destroyed, yellow remains.

  • I just wondered why you needed 2 identical sprite objects if they are indeed identical. Just seems like extra work and bug prone, as you've seen. Just have a 'flag' instance variable that says 'i'm being used in the inventory' or not. Only thing is you have to check that variable every time you pick that sprite.

  • At a quick look, make spawned a global variable. And put 84 a subevent of 85 (reverse them) and obviously move the actions to 84.

  • +1 - excellent suggestion! I would like it to list objects have existed on the layout but have been destroyed, and also to have a button to reset the debugger to nullify that list of remembered zero instance objects as well.

    Sounds good, and I was thinking some sort of filtering of names would be great, so you can type "npc" or "lvl1" and see objects "*npc*" or "*lvl1*" etc. I'm sure these are on your long todo list Ashley

    1. Where? In projects - > build assets? Won't be then Intel XDK default splash screen?

    2. I suppose it is because of icon and splash screen - you cannot add very high res icons and splash screens in Intel XDK. I'll tag imaffett, maybe he knows.

    You have to edit the xdk project file *.xdk and look for the "splashes_": [] part and remove the file references.
