• Almost there, chrisbrobs :)

Only one very, very, itsy teenie, weenie, slight quibble :/

The numbering on the navigation arrows looks a little messy as the count increases. 2 options I can think of are: place the count above or below the arrow or make the whole layout, and hence the nav arrows, slightly larger.

  • Amazing graphics / sfx, and the new stuff you added deff improves it.

I still have a performance problem running it on my ancient system

    Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz

    2 GIG RAM

    GeForce 6200 256MB Graphics.

(not upgaradable due to asrock motherborad AGP limitations)

    And my monitors crap!

It runs but with lots of delay, and i get the resolution message '1280 x 720' at the beginning.

Why is such the large resolution needed ? a lot of people will struggle to run it.

Edit...In saying that it might that my systems out of date !

  • Thanks tulamide.

Ive finally made somethihg with Construct that i can claim is 99% working!?

I think i need include more textures and 'brick effects' to add a bit of variation though.

  • Thanks

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Very nice, chrisbrobs.

I can only see a 'navigate right' arrow to move through the tile textures. Is this right, or am I missing something? The ability to go back to a previous texture would be useful :)

Added: Buttons to Scroll backwards through all textures (zeno98)

Fixed: Button to reset texture now works (it was opening a transparent texture)

    tulamide:

One proposal: Why not letting the user decide where to save the generated png? Just using the CommonDialog to get a valid path shouldn't be hard to implement.

Need help with this (its the last Group and it's disabled at the minute).....iv'e also added a button.

    Can't work it out ? ? ?

    Here's the latest cap

(only the cap so put it in the folder with the textures etc)

  • Can you drag and drop files(.png images) into a Construct game or app while its running ?

  • Nice idea.

Hope you develop it to a point where direct saving of the new tile is supported. Maybe even importing own textures, resizing, applying image operations and the like.

(Dreams of bumpmapping baked into the generated tile, and a library function to manage the tiles)

  • You might need to add an event to check which animation is currently playing?

If you have 'animation 1' activated on mouseover, and then try to trigger 'animation 2' on mouse click, it wont work because the condition 'mouseover is still true.

It would be better if you posted the .cap for somebody to look at.

  • For common sound effects I can add a "preload sound" action to download it immediately on startup, so there's no latency on first play. Apart from that, streaming is probably a good idea for the rest.

    Sound good?

    ---------------------------------------------------

    This sounds promising ! ! !

  • Cool, how long it takes to build a game like that with the builder? How lonk it took you, everything - graphics, sounds, music?

When I clicked try again, the game started, but the music stopped playing and the time meter below also stopped animating.

    (Re problem)

If you click the play button a second time, the music and time meter again should start (I got the same problem,

It?s down to a 'wait' event that I need to change!)

    (Re Creation time)

Once I get everything working, you will be able to build a unique game in about 10 minutes (using the graphics and Sounds libraries that are provided)

    The current options include:

1, Game logo image (use one of the provided textures, or import your own)

2, Background image (use one of the provided textures, or import your own)

3, Set color filter for boxes and panels (common dialogue)

4, Set color filter for timer bar (common dialogue)

5, Game blocks (use one of the provided textures, or import your own)

6, Sound's for clicking and block swapping (pick one from the libraries)

7, Sound for game loop (pick one from the libraries)

If you want to use your own 'Game logo image' obviously you will have to design and create it before you import it (I use Microsoft excel to create mine). Any textures you import are automatically resized, and copied to the relevant folders.

The only thing I am still trying to sort out is the ?levels??

I am trying come up with 'random level' generator (time, points needed, bonus blocks...Etc) otherwise the created games will just be boring (the alternative, is creating 40 Plus, seperate level /groups)

  • + Sprite: X Less than wall X

    -> Sprite: Set X to wall X + 1

  • You can change the colour and opacity using:

    Hope this helps

(you could use the bottom layer as your background?)

  • Nearly finished the Match3 maker.....Thank God!

    Should be completed by tomorrow?

In the meantime, here's a sample game...'Marble Match'

See how many Marbles you can match in 2 minutes.

I,m having the same problem, and the word 'view' with the letter'm' underneath appears in the top right of the screen. Might be something connected to the full screen settings?
