  • You can do it if you replace the boxes with sprites.

    The box object doesn't have a 'collision mode' condtion.

    + System: Always (every tick)

    -> Sprite: Set horizontal speed : 100

    + System: For each SpriteBOX

    + SpriteBOX: Height Greater than 45

    -> SpriteBOX: Set collision mode to None

    + Sprite: Sprite overlaps SpriteBOX

    + SpriteBOX: Height Less than 45

    -> Sprite: Push out of SpriteBOX : Opposite angle

    pushout2

    Hope this helps.

    I don't think many of the users there wanted to see that post either. Lets make games, not make competitions on programs.

    I agree, what a pointless waste of time. <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Scew mesh? Is this mesh a photoshop mesh?

    --------------------------------

    No....I couldn't wait for a reply to the question, so i had to use the Construct 'Mesh Editor' to make a 'Skewed mesh'.

    I saved the mesh, then imported into my game, and applied it to all the sprites.

    (Its a pity the Mesh editor is prone to crashing, because its a really good tool)

  • How do the Skew settings work for sprites?

    Iv'e searched a bit and had a look at the Tutorial 'Using Skew to make streetfighter floors By David', but cant find the answer.

    I want to achieve the following effect:

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22173473/SKEW.png" border="0" />

    Thanks in advance

    -------------------------------

    Solution:

    + System: Start of layout

    + System: For each Enemy

    -> Enemy: Load mesh from AppPath&"skew.mesh"

    With the Noise 2 plug you should be able to generate a huge variation of textures, including bricks. Well once he gets it all enabled that is.

    If you've ever used Filter Forge, or MapZone, you'll know what I mean.

    I tried the Plugin...its brilliant !

    I managed to scale it down to create 'tile size' texture's and you can make some amazing random textures with it.

    Thanks newt.

  • Re 3D Blocks.

    "How about you use invisible 2d dummies still, and just set 3d objects to their positions?"

    I did what you suggested and created events to spawn a 3D BLOCK on top of the 2D BLOCK.

    1, Created a single 3d object.

    2, Created 4 textures ( red, green, blue and yellow)

    3, Inserted ROJOhounds Texture setter Plugin to give the textures to 3d objects.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22173473/3dpic.png" border="0" />

    EVERYTHING WORKED ! up to event line 250. After that i have no clue how to create and destroy the 3D objects, when the 2d blocks are swapping and spawning ?

    The first event is a simple button to trigger the 3D objects creation ( after the randomisation)

    I know you resolved it, but here's the cap i tested using invisible 'off'

    option.

    Invisible

  • Pretty sure you can't click invisible objects, try opacity instead.

    ------------------------------------------------------

    You can click on an invisible object to make it visible again (if you can find it !)

    Might be a 'Find the invisible object with click' game?

    <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Sprites have a visibility setting in Properties (a tick box)....'invisible on start' ...tick it ! !

    To make it reappear you will need to create an event to turn it's visibility back to 'on'.

    Example:

    + MouseKeyboard: On Left Clicked on cover

    -> cover: Make Visible

    .

    ------------------------------------------------

    Can't answer the URL question.

  • C1TilemakerV1.1e

    Ive tried to incorporate a bumpmap generator(plus a few other effects)

    Still experimenting, so you will have to play around with it.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22173473/1.1e.png" border="0">

    You can only save the bumpmap to the clipboard at the minute, because my brain is fried and i havent finished it yet.

    edit 05/08:

    Didnt include the reqired 'ini' file in the rar file...it is now.

    link

    (this only contains the cap and ini file 60kb)

    you need the image files that come with the previous downloads to test it.

  • Very hard post to understand !

    Anyway...heres what i think you meant?

    solution

    -----------------------------------------------------

    + MouseKeyboard: On Middle Clicked on Sprite3

    -> Sprite3: Make Invisible

    + MouseKeyboard: On Right Clicked on Sprite3

    -> Sprite3: Make Visible

    + Sprite3: [negated] Sprite3: Is visible

    -> Items: Deactivate Drag & Drop movement

    + MouseKeyboard: On Left Clicked on Sprite

    + Sprite3: Is visible

    -> Sprite: Activate Drag & Drop movement

    + MouseKeyboard: On Left Clicked on Sprite2

    + Sprite3: Is visible

    -> Sprite2: Activate Drag & Drop movement
