  • Dave Hailwood,

Damn revenge killings, and the AI seems to get six's on a suspiciously regular basis! As you may be able to tell, I got my butt seriously whooped!!!

Nice update though, not sure I'll be able to beat your 750! But I'll keep trying!!!

  • No problem, happy to help :)

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi Sollaano,

I think I understand you're question, and you'll need to create a global variable that holds the overall money total. You can then use this in every layout, allowing you to keep track of all the money you've collected.

You should be able to use the WebStorage plugin to save global data between sessions.

  • Hi IpwnUall,

    Welcome to C2

One of the ways to achieve what you want is to add a new layer (game over layer) and set the layers initial visibility to invisible (you will find visibility option in the layer properties window).

You can then place all of your game over elements (screen, reset or quit buttons etc.) on that layer.

Then set up an event to make that layer visible once your game over event occurs (e.g. when your ghost collides with the player).

    Hope that helps :)

  • Nice plugin blackhornet, thank you :)

  • arcgen,

Game looks fantastic, I'm looking forward to playing it. Good luck with the development!

I fully agree that pirating C2 software is wrong, and also completely unnecessary (due to C2's extremely affordable price)!

On the flip side, it does show just how popular C2 is becoming, if people want it so badly that they are willing to pirate it!

I think it indicates a very bright future for the company! Watch out all you competitors, Scirra is on it's way up, up, up to the top! And it's a good thing too!!

  • Hi JEtherington,

Just tried your game and it looks good! I did find it a little odd (at first) that there's no jump option, but I'm sure people could get used to that.

Good luck with it, I'll keep an eye on your progress! :)

  • Hi mrcgkh,

Construct 2 automatically compresses image files on export (C2 image compression).

    Hope that helps :)

  • Hi hellwalker

You can store simple information for scores, level progression etc, using the WebStorage object.

    :)

  • Another fantastic plugin by Great work mate! :)

  • Very cool! Also really kind 'free to use' offer, thanks :)

  • Very cool images spongehammer, I particularly like the ones where the sunlight is just starting to show over the horizon!

    Nice work :)

Yes, your idea should be possible!

Your best bet is to start off with some simple tutorials (tutorials section), and also check out the 'How do I', faq. These should be enough to get you started.

After that you can always ask others for help in the forum (the C2 community are a really friendly and helpful bunch).

    Hope that helps, good luck!

  • Hi Patriick,

I think it's a fantastic idea to post some image creation tutorials.

Many different people use C2, some start off as artists and learn to program, whilst others start as programmers and learn to draw.

The C2 site has plenty of tutorials to help users with program development. It'd be nice to see a few tutorials which could help some of the more artistically challenged amongst us (I'd certainly be one of the first to sign up)!

Good luck and I'll keep my eyes open for some interesting tuts :)
