• Hey NotionGames,

I like C & D the best! Perhaps C, with her striking white/silver hair, just edges it!

Looking very cool by the way :)

  • Hi ceeBat,

You can give each enemy an instance variable "type"! Then each time you destroy an enemy you can compare type, and if type = fire -> set attack to fireball (or ice, lightning, etc)!

If you search the manual for variables, it should help you!

    Good luck with it :)

  • szymek, Kurz, sosensible

Positive thinking guys, we can do it!!! :))

I know the competition will be very tough though, so I'm not expecting anything! But it's still nice to dream :)

    GOOD LUCK

  • szymek,

Yes, it would have a very good chance of winning! I think Mortar Melon would have a good chance too!

Hopefully we'll be able to win one of the other prizes! :)

  • szymek,

Thanks, that helps a lot :) Good luck in the app challenge!

  • Hey szymek,

Did you have any problems with the back button and exiting the app? I've noticed a couple of comments mentioning that it doesn't work!

We haven't been able to get the emulator working, and can only test on the web simulator!

The Browser objects 'close' action doesn't seem to do anything when tested on the web simulator. But we wondered if this was just a problem with the simulator?

Did the close action work on your app?

    Thanks for the help

  • Hey tulamide,

Sorry to hear that you're feeling a little down at the moment, I hope things improve soon :)

On a positive note, at least you can express your mood through your music. And it does give your tracks a true depth of feeling, which can be lacking in other music :)

As always, my pleasure to help!

  • Wow, fantastic news! Just cast my vote, for Mortar Melon (of course)!

We'll be keeping our fingers crossed

  • ChrisAlgoo, glad to hear you enjoyed the Tizen jam!

Congratulations on winning a prize, $500 that's really good! Must be a great game, I look forward to playing it!

  • Hey tulamide, great to see another instalment of tracks. How did the ludum dare style music event go, I hope you had fun!

Thanks for the kind words, you even taught me a new one 'sedulous'! But it's really you that does all the hard work, I just have to sit here and listen.

Anyway on to the good bit! This is another fantastic set of loops, and you're just giving them away for free, what a bargin!

scorpion_8b - has a very ominous feel, the heart beat sound which runs through the piece, is particularly effective!

letters_8b - has a melancholy feel to it, almost as though it's trying to stay positive, but can't help being sad!

bad_radio_4b - is indeed reminiscent of department store "elevator" music, and would add a really nice comical element to a game! Perhaps while a character is impatiently waiting to move on to a new section/area!

bogart_4b - a very cool piece, with quite a dark feel to it!

diamond_broad_8b - and from the darkness into the light! diamond_broad is a really nice loop, and has a very positive 'new day' kind of sound to it!

diamond_narrow - follows on from diamond_broad very well, and both pieces really compliment one another! I do slightly prefer the simplicity of diamond_narrow though!

cascade_16b - this track had a strange, but appealing mixture of both sadness and hope, although I could be way off base? Anyway I though it was another very beautiful piece.

confident_8b - an upbeat sound, that gently builds as it progresses!

grieved_8b - shares many similarities with confident, but has a much more ominous feel to it! Perhaps summed up best by saying that, both confident and grieved seem to be two sides of the same coin (if that makes any sense)!

elephant_8b - firstly I must say what a fantastic name for a music track (conjures up all sorts of possibilities)! Great track with a very futuristic sound (has a real "Blade Runner" feel to it)!

mechanic_4b - has a very serious, driving and action-packed sound! Makes me think of a hitman styled assassin, hunting down his victims, with gun in hand!

rush_4b - another very fast paced, driving piece of music, with an underlying tension to it!

Hope I wasn't too far off the mark, you certainly kept me on my toes this time! Whilst all of the tracks were excellent, some of the pieces had a very mixed feel, and were difficult to classify!

Well we're getting a little bit closer to a bad track, at least you managed to get 'bad' into one of the titles this time

  • Hi appbackr,

Disappointed that we still haven't had any further news from you!

I'd still like to submit our apps (x4) through appbackr! But it would be helpful if you could answer a couple of questions first.

    1. Your terms and conditions mention a commission payment. I've read that it's 10%. Is that figure accurate, and will it apply in this instance?

    2. If the above figure is correct, could you tell me what services we can expect from appbackr (e.g. do you actively promote games on your website, or do you just host them)?

We just need a few more details, before we decide to submit with you.

    Thanks for your time.

  • Nice work sqiddster, this looks absolutely fantastic!

Greenlight thumbs up from me, good luck :)

  • Hey appbackr,

It would be helpful to know what services / support we can expect from appbackr if we submit our apps with you?

Do appbackr actively promote the apps on their site, or do they just host them?

    Thanks, for the help.

  • Thanks for the advice Ashley, that'll be really helpful!

Hey ChrisAlgoo, hope you enjoy the jam! It'd be great to hear more about it, when you're done :)

  • Yeah thanks szymek, this is really helpful stuff.

I'd still be interested to hear a little more about the C2's config file though!
