Have you tested the app in the emulator as well as the web simulator?

  • I can't launch emulator. But on simulator it's work fine and it even show landscape mode

  • Hi All,

I have created and tested some new circular tizen app launcher icons (117px). They look nice in the emulator. However, there are other C2 icons of varying sizes when I export to Tizen.

Does anyone know what the other C2 icons are for?

  • Blacksmith - We made a kickass game in C2 and won the Runner-up prize and 500 dollars. We're going to develop it further and submit it to that 4 Million Tizen App challenge in two weeks!

Ashley - Will new tizen features (such as landscape mode locking) be added anytime soon? Thanks!

Also, not sure if this is C2's fault or the Tizen developer device, but when we enabled WebGL effects (glows and blurs), certain objects wouldn't draw, and some objects would only be drawn partway. As I recall, if a device doesn't support WebGL the game should simply not use those effects, so there may be something that we'd have to look into.

  • ChrisAlgoo Landscape locking has be implemented already. r147 has a few updates regarding Tizen.

  • Oh, good news! I notice there were changes to the config.xml as well - that's great because my wgt wouldn't validate on the device they provided. Maybe it will now!

  • ChrisAlgoo, glad to hear you enjoyed the Tizen jam!

Congratulations on winning a prize, $500 that's really good! Must be a great game, I look forward to playing it!

  • Hey szymek,

Did you have any problems with the back button and exiting the app? I've noticed a couple of comments mentioning that it doesn't work!

We haven't been able to get the emulator working, and can only test on the web simulator!

The Browser objects 'close' action doesn't seem to do anything when tested on the web simulator. But we wondered if this was just a problem with the simulator?

Did the close action work on your app?

    Thanks for the help    <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I may be totally wrong but I used only "on back button" on sub-layouts (to go back to start layout) and on start layout I didn't put anything. As for now my 2 apps were accepted.

  • szymek,

Thanks, that helps a lot :) Good luck in the app challenge!

  • Blacksmith

Super Ubie Land should be released on Tizen, submitted to Tizen Challange and get 200,000$ main prize :)

  • szymek,

Yes, it would have a very good chance of winning! I think Mortar Melon would have a good chance too!

Hopefully we'll be able to win one of the other prizes!   :)

  • Blacksmith

it would be nice to win, but I prefer to be realistic, so I just ordered Mac Mini + iPod = will try on iOS

  • "Mortar Melon" is a good opponent but I saw "Cut the Rope" , games from Gameloft... I think all of them want to win some money ))

So I just hope on 10-th place in HTML5 nomination.. but even this would be unreal for me <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • well may the best win not who wants the money the most <img src="smileys/smiley23.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
