  • ^thanks! i love this (and your function plugin)

  • I don't know if there is an alternative, so I can't say if C2 is the best fit. I can say that C2 support for "farmville-like" features are very limited atm (besides facebook integration, which is very solid and easy to use). online player information storage can and has been done with the use of php/mysql and the ajax function (or ajax poster plugin)--but as you said--coding will be required. online multiplayer is also possible but even more complicated (look at the socket io plugins). i know a chat plugin has been made for c2.

overall, c2 is not made to build the type of game you want--but it is very customizable so anything is possible

  • yep <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

also: glad you got it working!

  • hmm, i don't yet have the software to look at your audio files, but as far as I can see in construct 2, there is no way around your pause problem. perhaps it is a problem w/ c2 itself. iv'e already tried preloading the audio files and whatnot, but the pause is still there. as kyatric said, audio in html5 is a little...murky

edit: i looked at your audio files, and they don't have a pause in them, so i assume it's construct

    btw, nice game <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • can you post a capx?

  • i'm not sure what u mean, but

if you're using a project folder, it will update everything when you save

  • hey ionrot, there is a page in the fabulous manual explaining system expressions here: Manual--expressions

you would call it (assuming your layout is named layout1: "layout1.layoutname"

  • i mean that i want a machine gun that shoot bullets!! Rapidly

well now, you'll need to be a little bit more specific. we're not here to make your game for you <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

but i assume you're looking for a way to spawn bullets rapidly. you don't need the every tick condition. use use "when keyboard/mouse down" and a system-->every x seconds as well. set the seconds to (0.1) and it will fire 10 rounds a second.

I'm too lazy to make my own example, so I just took Weishaupt's example (sorry <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />) and modified it to control the fire rate. here ya go: mediafire.com

  • no problem! i think ashley explained it here: <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

edit: oops, i forgot the link

    here it is: scirra.com/forum/license-question_topic45526.html

  • yes, the licenses are per person, not per computer :D

  • ^ok gottit <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • yes, but it's complicated <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

you could store values into "webstorage," which will store data locally, but if user clears cache, it's gone.

or you could use AJAX to connect to a server and store values on a server but that's more complicated...

  • ok now i'm confused <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • ^are you talking about using your computer as a server but you don't want the server application to show up on your screen?

  • Very Nice I love the smoke effect that appears after the fire! <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

i think this post belongs in "your creations" forum though?
