Hello once again!
I'm back with some more updates and features that'll most likely be in the final game! I've almost finished with the first levels I'm working on so pretty soon, I can make levels for a completely different biome. I've already made the song for the four levels, and it's basically a remade version of an older song I made a while ago for a game. Specifically, this one.
Now, the song will probably sound a lot better than this song I've presented to you, though I'll share some snippets of all the songs I've made some time in the future as a little sneak peak.
Anyways, I'm also adding some new controls to my game! I've drawn out what I plan on adding to my game below:
I'll just go over the controls Briefly.
Slam Kick
The slam kick is basically a Super Mario Bros. equivalent of a ground pound. You press the "S" key and Ajax (the character you play as) dives downwards, able to hit enemies slightly farther away should he try stomping on them. Though unlike a ground pound, it doesn't stop your momentum; it just makes you fall a lot faster and gives your stomp a bigger hitbox.
As of typing this, I've already implemented the slam kick into my game, it'll look something like this while you use it:
Dive
Need I say more? You get to dive around whether you're in the air or on the ground with the press of the "E" button. You can use it multiple times while airborne similar to the slam kick, so you can travel far distances.
Buttons to open Doors
I felt the need to add this because so far, none of the levels really have any interactive items besides power ups and the rocket, so having to press a button that opens a door could be quite a nice addition!
