  • Great Job Whiteclaws.

Nice movement. I think I remember you being a bit bent out of shape a while back, because you were having trouble with arrays. So it appears as far as arrays go... you have arrived.

  • Hi!

Do you have anymore screenshots or a video? I cannot play the game on my system.

    Edit..

oops my bad, I did not see the arrows that let you scroll through some images.

The graphics look nice simple and elegant.

  • TELLES0808

    I wonder why that is?

I'm trying to add a link to my website, and it does not appear to be working. I think I went over my character limit or something,

  • So I cleared all the histories and caches, and I'm having the same result that DownInBlack had last March. My signature is updated on these new posts. but not the old ones. Oh Well.

  • I've been following the links here, and I'm also having trouble getting my signature include a link to my arcade game. The code I tried to use is...

    [&url=http://www.scirra.com/arcade/addicting-puzzle-games/3551/seaturtle-with-a-porpoise]<img src="http://www.onceuponourplanet.com/turtleavaanim.png" border="0" />[/url&]

    (Without the &'s.)

On preview I see the image link is ok, but its still not updating my profile. I cleared Caches, and I'll go clear again. Is my code goofy?

Ok, a few posts back somewhere someone said their profile did not update until they posted in the forums, and I guess this was the case with me as well, Wow If I'd just opened my big fat mouth here a long time ago it would have saved a bunch of wasted time,,,dooh! So yeah I needed to post here to check my link. Looks like its working now.

  • RamPackWobble,

    Those life bars look awesome.

  • "Has anyone taken this and improved it? I would love to see your results.."

    I'm on it.

I'm going to play with both.

    wish me luck!

  • Blacksmith,

I'm not a big fan of the mono beat background track, however I really like your graphics. I want to learn more about this so I'll ask you. Do the controls need to be that large? I was thinking about trying out a game for mobile, yet I'm not really sure how large the touch sprites need to be etc. Your game looks so cool but the controls seem to dominate a large portion of the screen. Is this relevant for touch accessibility?

  • It wont go past the loading screen for me. Dang.

  • nemo,

Holy cow wow! That is cool and creepy! I'm working on a game with creepy insects too! I love where you went with this blending the real and surreal.

  • Monchild,

My hat is off to your sense of color shape and style. Beautiful looking game, cool transitions.

    firebelly,

Your game is looking awesome too!

  • Hi Glebs,

I'm still pretty new, but I tried making a .capx to see about using abs distance (read about it in a thread a while back). I think it might be a bit difficult to explain, but have a look at it and see if it can be of any help. I set up the lazer object to detect the distance from the player and the wall. I did not alter the origin image point for the wall so I added that "64". It works sorta, but works weird, will probably work ok with the right tweaking. Hopefully one of the more seasoned pro's can chime in on this.

oops i forgot to mention, the spacebar toggles the laser on, I dont know how you have it set up.

  • Are you positioning the object in the layout, or are you positioning the object through an action? Sometimes I overlook making sure the right layer is selected while creating an action in the actions tab.

  • Hey all, I totally appreciate your checking the game!<img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I will look into figuring out how to get the touch controls working. If I were to get that squared away, and was able to reduce the art for smaller formats, do you think it would be worth creating more levels? I can imagine a few ways to make it more difficult. I did not intend this as a game in the beginning. I was doing a load test with images and sprites to see how far I could take it before bogging down fps's. Then the idea for the game play came in that process. So its probably way to heavy for mobile.
