  • I've had problems with events in groups triggering in the wrong order, and i'm wondering; is that fixed now? It's very hard to make bigger things if you can't sort things into groups, so if they don't work yet i think it really is a high-priority-thing to fix them quickly.

    I think construct would need it's own community just for that reason. It will allways be a battle between construct and mmf if they used the same site, and construct would be pushed out since everyone use klick products right now. Also, the site is called the daily KLICK, and i dont know who said it, but one of the admins said construct games was accepted, but should not be allowed to compete about GOTW.

    There will be a construct community site, but ther's no need to rush it. These forums works fine right now.

  • We mean rotating an object one step towards the position of an other object. Not setting them to the same direction. For example if you have an enemy and you want it to allways try to look in the direction of player, so you make it every 100 miliseconds turn one degree towards player.

  • that's a pretty serious bug. Have you reported it to the bug tracker?

  • I personaly hate the graphics and sounds included in MMF2. Especcially the graphics! And whenever someone made a game using them it was allways voted down because of that, so i'm not the only one. The sounds where actually quite usefull, so a sound library would actually be nice since sounds are hard to make by yourself! Maybe we could just make a sticky sprite thread where everyone can post their sprites and build a graphics library in that way?

    edit: I tried doing that, but when the angle changes from 0 to 360 it spins the wrong way..

    I've had huge problems with this exact thing. rotate towards angle would be really great. The only program able to do this so far was TGF with the direction calculator plugin. It was never converted to MMF. Correct me if i'm wrong. I'm not updated with MMF2 anymore.

  • The acceleration and deceleration is definately the problem. Also, i LOVE the graphics!

  • Since the house is wiewed top-down the character should be too. Not a pixel master, and i can't make anything now since the newest version of construct doesn't allow me to use the picture editor, but that's a hint. Just use one top-down animation and let the character turn buy itself. Also, you should set accelerate and decelerate to max.

    This should be moved to the documentation project page right now instead of being lost in then infinite amount of "how do you create a mario game?"-kind of questions posted here.
