  • Yeah, a french translation is very important, since everyone in france refuse to learn english!

  • In this image you can see that when you build a level out of many sprites, the shadowcasting looks all messed up. Either the light can reach an area or it can't. Shadows of diferent opacity should only be used when ther's multiple light sources.

In this image where ther's just one shadow caster it looks just like it should:

But when you ad two objects it doesn't look right.

This is what it should look like.

As you can see the shadow caster engine doesn't render the shadows the right way. It shouldn't make the shadow darker if there are two objects blocking the light. It should make all shadows have the same color, but make it brighter if there a lightsource reaching it.

  • I'm honored to have you here oh lord Kayin, great creator of IWBTG.

Construct is becomming more and more stable, but it's still not stable enough to make a real game. I've been following construct since it first started to grow after the first break, and i've been trying to create games from time to time. I allways run in to some bug that makes it impossible, and one time construct crashed and ruined the .cap i was working on INCLUDING all the backups i had! (have you given up on fixing that .cap yet ash?). You should absolutely not start a big project with this program in it's current state. The best thing to do is to create small games that make use of certain things you want in your big game, and report all bugs you run into until everything works as you want it to.

  • South park is the shit.

  • Zcoira? No, i think i've been saying it with a "sci" like the one in skipp. Like Skirra, but Seh-rah sounds good too.

  • Oh Noo! Now you have to spend all your time in front of the computer... so.. when do we get the next build?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I agree with SoldjahBoy! We got five people so far. Weak.

  • It's possible to do workarounds by splitting the level into many parts, but this is absolutely one of the big drawbacks on this physics-engin

  • I think i reported this some time before xmas. It's not a bug. The physics engine has a world-size that you can't change. I don't remember if they where going to do anything about it though..

  • I borrowed a friends computer to get ps2.0 and i have3 to say: Wow! That's really great!

It had a very bad slowdown on his computer though, but it's a bad computer.

  • Ok thanks! Since mmf didn't use decimals i was used to do just X/32*32.

  • oh... I thought it could be used for grids. Like round 29 to closest 32.

  • How do you use the "round" command?

  • You might be able to make all the objects the same, then start a loop for like 1000 times. Each time the loop runs it adds 1 to a value, and creates a hinge from the sprite with unique id equal to the value, to the sprite besides it.

The problem is that you have to select two objects to preform actions on, and i don't know any way to do it. I'll think about the problem and return if i find something more usefull.

  • wonderful! I've been thinking about reporting the "Holding control and dragging problem" but then i stopped doing that.
