  • bjadams - do you know whether the cocoonjs cloud project is compatible with xcode 4.2? The current version that I'm running (xcode 3.x) throws out errors when I try to sign the files and create the ipa. The Mac Mini won't upgrade further than SL, so that's the reason for me asking.

  • I only have Leopard on my Mac Mini and the version of xcode is too old to work with the cloud compiler. Anyone know whether Snow Leopard will cut it? I think that allows for xcode 4.2.

  • I'm also getting black screen with Android and shut down on iOS tho I'm not preloading audio. No idea what's causing it as I have no third party plug-ins. Around 2000 events in my project, so will be difficult to trace.

  • Compiled in the cloud and pretty good when tested on Android, though I can't submit for iPhone to Apple App Store as my Mac Mini is running an old version of XCode.

    ludei - what's the oldest version of XCode that is compatible? I can upgrade to XCode 4.2 if I pay for an upgrade to Snow Leopard, will this give me what I need?

    ...here's hoping, though I'll also check out the Appmobi option.

  • PhoneGap Build for iOS is painfully slow and laggy for me. I'm also waiting for the CocoonJS cloud build so I can finally deploy to iTunes!!!

  • I tried the ludei Android launcher on my Samsung GS2 for my Ninja Fart Hero game. It worked nicely at 80-110fps, though:

    • It was displaying landscape instead of portrait, so I only had a small area to display the game in
    • All text was very small
    • I use a black tile to fade in at the start of each layout. The fade had criss-cross black lines through it until fade completed
    • None of my hyperlinks to web pages work any more (they work fine with PhoneGap)

    The game did seem to stutter a little in parts, although the frame rate was still showing high.

    I can't test it on my iTouch as it has iOS version 4.2.x and Ludei says the launcher will only support 4.3+.

    All looking pretty dang good - I can hardly wait for the cloud build service!!!

  • Physics is framerate dependent by default, so will run faster at a higher frame rate, though you can switch to independent. There's a manual entry on it somewhere.

    Problem withn switching it is that the physics will work slightly different each time.
