  • This is probably the best 'first-game' I'd ever played. The game reminds me of classic Lode Runner. I like the character, the graphic, sound FXs. Control is intuitive, and your music is fun to listen to! Everything has a 'Cute' charm to it. Very solid, great work!

  • The game has sort of a "Trial-and-Error" gameplay, that applies to the food critics' preferences.

It should be easy to win 2 critics.

To win an 'Ace' (win 3 critics), it's easier than you think: make sure the egg is fried into bright looking color, and keep your seasonings & dressings at minimum. She does not like strong flavor.

Sorry again if you encounter scene hangings during 'Visual Critique' section. (also on some of the 'Taste critiques' of the girl critic) I'll try to reduce the problem as much as possible.

  • I don't worry about being a beginner. I just do what I am able to do at the moment.

We will always learn from experience & improve gradually.

  • Wow, such a game idea. I'd love to see it in completion.

  • 'Fry Me Omelettes' Pre-Beta Demo is updated. Yes, it's already in hosting.

I didn't let people know it right away because of some serious glitches I had to fix days ago.

Now the game is functional. (In most cases)

If you see any serious glitches, or game stopping at some scenes, please let me know. (don't mind some of the small ones) I will make fix updates if serious problems are found.

    UPDATED:

*ps: there will be another update (v0.59.4) on Sat/Sun. It will be added in some missing features.

Come & play!! (click on my left signiture! )

  • I'm a noob on this. (sorry if I repeated a same kind of request)

I want to make a 'playcount hit counter' for myself to check on. (without interfering their play)

I believe AJAX can do that, is it?

Can AJAX send data into a text file, in certain URL?

When anyone reach a certain point(like a button click), it will add 1 to the text, like this.

And the numbers will keep adding up each click.

Can anyone show me how to do it simply, or any other ways? Thanks !

  • You're welcome, Glad the teaser did work to attract people!

I make this game myself. I focus the game on frying eggs only (and in omelettes), but unlike other cooking games, there's no step-by-step instructions, you can fry your eggs in random fashion. But after that your eggs will be judged by "those" critics, and get a 'pass' or a 'fail'. (It's a "trial-and error" kind of SIM game.) The game does not have that "frame-by-frame" character animations I'm afraid.

So come try & experiment it, and maybe give some feedbacks. (that would be great! )

Also, this is a pre-beta demo (so don't expect much variety), and it will be hosted on my website for a limited period. (August 1-15)

Updated: The hosting period extends till August 23!

For more information you can see my game development log. (yellow signature below)

  • Yes Kyatric , the game is definitely made using C2. and it's been going on since January when I joined in.

  • Gee, Thanks!

  • 'Fry Me Omelettes' has a teaser now!

Not the best video in the world, but please do enjoy.

Also, my game demo will be hosted on the game's offical website starting on August 1, come visit!

  • Teaser video is near complete, you'll be able to see it soon.

    Here's some of the footage.

    (It couldn't be any simpler sequences, but then again-- it's just a 'teaser'!) <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">

  • Needing more time to prepare for the next demo and website, I have to postpone the release to another week later.

Also, even though the demo not even near complete, i'm now making a simple 'teaser' trailer to draw more attention. (Just started only, WIP screenshots may be posted here later)

    This is the announcement banner.

  • Working on the 'Fillings'. (please excuse the low quality GIFs here.)

On the left showcase how filling 'bits' can merge into the egg.

Obviously not the best frying on the right. It can looked REALLY good if done well.

  • Beautiful artworks and splendid physic mechanism. Exciting!

  • Here's the "advertising board" for this upcoming demo release! Cheers!
