  • You have two options with this I believe. The best one that should work everywhere is to create all your sprites in every possible color you would need and to upload them in to your project. You then change it to that animation when you need it.

Your other option which will only work if you have WebGL available to you is to use one of the built in C2 Effects such as "Set Color." This will allow you dynamically change your RGB channels through the Effect. If your project defaults back to the Canvas2D this wont work though. So the first method is probably the safer method to guarantee it works.

    Thanks for your reply!

Yeah, I'm going to use the webGL effect called tint, it's just what I need.

    Best

  • Hi

I just want to know if it's possible to change the RB values of a sprite in construct, because i need to change the color of the main character for the main mechanic of the game

    THanks in advance

  • That sounds like an option, I'm going to try soon, thank you!

  • Hi

I want to limit the fps in my game so it only runs on a top of 30fps

    It's possible to do?

It would be perfect because in the cutscenes everything runs to smoothly and i want a more cinematic aspect

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi

    Spriter is great!

However, I recently tried to add an animation and I got this error

    ---------------------------

    Construct 2 Check failure

    ---------------------------

Check failure! This is probably a bug:

Temporary project file missing on disk

    Condition: FileExists(temp_path.c_str())

    File: Projects\ProjectFile.cpp

    Line: 32

    Function: __cdecl ProjectFile::ProjectFile(class FileFolder &,const class std::basic_string<wchar_t,struct std::char_traits<wchar_t>,class std::allocator<wchar_t> > &,const class std::basic_string<wchar_t,struct std::char_traits<wchar_t>,class std::allocator<wchar_t> > &)

    Build: release 165 (64-bit) checked

    Component: Construct 2 IDE

    (Last Win32 error: 2)

You are using a 'checked' release of Construct 2, intended for testing, which causes certain errors to be reported this way. Abort Retry Ignore

    ---------------------------

    I resolved the problem

However, now I have another one

I can't see my animations, I uploaded the construct project and the spriter folder

    Please, check it

  • Cool looking game. I'm trying to see how Construct2 does on mobile devices, so I downloaded your game. When I start it, it says it is powered by "Ludei". It looks like Ludei is either a competitor to Construct2, or a framework that Construct2 is built off of. I can't tell... Is this splash screen always displayed on iOS games released with Construct2?

Yes if you are using cocoonjs because Ludei makes cocoonJs.

For the other questions I'm making some experiments, after that I'll be making a postmorten with all the information. Sorry for the late answer and thanks for the feedback!

  • Noup, I think that the problem is the quantity of sprites and objects, however it would be great if Ludei say which should be the limit of the project or the CocoonJs app should display an error instead of black screen and crash.

  • Hi

I have a problem with my Construct 2 game in CocoonJS

I drop it in the CocoonJS folder in iTunes

But, when I try to run it I get a black screen and a fps counter, then it just close.

I uploaded the cocoonjs project to dropbox

  • Hi, I just import a scml object like I used to do. and I get this error when I run the layout

    (Chrome)

    Unexpected token <

    (Firefox)

    Javascript error!

    SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character

    localhost/Spriter_plugin.js, line 281 (col undefined)

This is either a bug in Construct 2 or a problem in a third party plugin or behavior - please report it to the developer!

    and that line is

    self.doRequest(JSON.parse(request.responseText));

    Please help me

    Regards

    EDIT:

the problem is the new version of the plugin because I try with the old one and works perfectly

    EDIT 2:

This error only happens when you create the spriter object with the new plugin. I had a project created with the other plugin, I opened it with the new version, and the .json works fine.

    EDIT 3:

The function set object scale doesn't work with the .json file

  • ,

very nice game. i like the deliberate slow pace.

    Thanks!

    I'm glad you noticed that

  • Hi everyone, I'm closing up the Spriter B6 featureset at the moment. After this is released, the C2 plugin will be fully updated to support character maps, cocoonjs, and other features that arrive with B6.

    That is great!

    What should we do?

Download spriter again? download the spriter plugin again? or make our animations again?

If this works I'm going to buy a license (:

  • It's possible to stop the animation from looping?

I tried with Set animation looping... -> not looping

    And it doesn't work

    Somebody knows?

    EDIT:

I was using the Set animation looping... -> not looping

when the spriter object is initialised, I changed it to another event and it works.

BTW spriter + construct 2 is great! good work

  • Please? Someone?
