  one current issue I am having is the tile overlapping and erasing other tiles. Is there a way to overlap tilesets without them erasing?

  I am trying to figure out how to create a small isometric game but I am having a bunch of issues from tileset placement to movement. I can barely even find anything on youtube regarding isometric games. Are there any good guides or game demos I can try to help me?

  What is the best way to have enemies run away from my player? It's a stealth game so if they see him they run off and you have to chase them. It's top down so I am wondering how to do it with pathfinding or possibly move to (though pathfinding would be preferred)

  okay thank you but also how do I get the line of sight to aim in 4 different directions? It seems to just stay on the right side.

  so I am trying to animate a character walking around and have him walk the right direction. My big problem is I am also trying to add in a line of sight and since I am using rotation it seems to screw up the line of sight (possibly because of the rotation of the cube? Is there a way around this like having the block not rotate but the character walk in the right directions? sorry this sounds pretty complicated

  I am having a weird issue with default controls, I am trying to get smooth 8 directional movement but if I press left, down and right together (or right down and left) it will cause my character to stop moving forward and just be allow strafing up or down. It's weird because if I press Up, left, right or up, right left keys together I can keep my movement going in the proper direction.

  Oh very true actually thank you I might use that instead. The big problem tho is getting the enemy to enter a door I go through to follow the player. I have only seen a few games do such a thing like the indie game lakeview cabin.

  This is a bit of a tricky question but I am trying to get an enemy to pathfind me and follow me through doors that teleport me. It's pretty easy to do on a top down but side scrolling makes it a bit harder to do. I was gonna use a open/close variable so whenever I enter if the enemy touches it they will enter it also but wondering if there is a better/easier method.

  I am wondering how to prevent this weird overlap of empty space of the tilemap (the tilemap is 16x16 and has some empty space for some tiles). Is this overcome by using multiple layers? I am using the basic version on construct3. Is there a way I can change some settings so the empty space on the tile map stays like a png so I can put everything on one layer to 2 layers.
