  • I am trying to create a bounce effect and the only thing i found online was a tutorial in flash.

    motionscript.com/expressions-lab-ae65/squash-and-stretch.html

Didn't help much. I know its possible to do, just a little confused. Can someone lead me in the right direction or point me to someone who has programmed this in another language?

    Thanks

  • Hey guys!

I have been working on a project that is sort of an interactive power point presentation in construct 2. That aside I have been using arrays to see how many players are playing.

Once all players are documented in the array the game goes to the layouts based on the array. Like if player 1 is playing go to layout player 1. So if there is only 3 players playing then it would skip player 4. I hope this makes sense.

The real question i guess is how do i insert players into the array and loop through the array to get to player 2, player 3, and player 4.

    Thanks,

  • My dream game would be would be A character who has a stuttering problem. It would be called stutter box. I was called that during the early times in my life and i want to somehow turn that into a playable gaming experiences.

       I want the player to know what it feels like when you can't get air out and say what you want to say. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I ended up using the container. How long was that in Construct 2 lol. Must be recent.

  • Thank you guys :D

  • Im using C2

  • container? is that new to construct?

  • He guys,

I need a little help with my enemy health bar. I am spawning enemies and I'm also spawning new health bars to go over there head like in a tower defense. But 1 thing i for got was when i scale 1 enemies health bar it scales them all.

I know threes a way to do this lol. Im also using an instance variable called health that is worth 100.Each hit subtracks 10 points from it and when its 0 the enemy dies. But that healthbar doesn't know i want to assign it to individual enemies.

    Thanks in advanced. Happy crafting.

  • Sweet.

Kickstarter is awesome if you apply yourself. I'm already working on a few games. Just need funding. I might be getting a free tablet soon but if not i will have to work for it.

  • Thanks for the tips. I was planning on buying a cheap tablet one but I think the smart thing to do is form a kickstarter for about $1,000. That will take care of game development costs + a reasonable tablet.

  • I was thinking about getting an android tablet to test my games on. Can any tablet run my cacoon JS? I saw some tablets on ebay for like 50-60 bucks, will that be enough as a developer to build, sell, and play games on?

  • Interesting. But I have mixed feelings about this android on T.V notion. Just because it sounds cool doesn't mean its going to be a success. If you have a phone already you don't need to buy one of these consoles. You don't here people walking around saying "I wish i can play a mobile game on my T.V". I Think for this to be successful you would have to make tremendous games exclusive to only the Ouya or GameStick. Kids will only buy real consoles. That's just the real reality. Look at the OnLive. That didn't do well at all. I mean this is great for developers but I don't find it that appealing to gamers. I remember when WebTV came out. It looked awesome but it never sold. Mobile games are not that great for hardcore gamers. I'm more or less ranting. I can see this being a success if they market it in stores like toys r us, game stop, walmart etc. Online isn't going to be enough.

  • The software is awesome. Ive been procrastinating a bit but the versatility is crazy with Play Maker. It's node based. You can basically script a game with basic nodes. Its like construct 2 and kismet combined. I reccomend it if u wanna do 3D but can't code.
