  • Hi,

    it's a picking problem.

You have your actions set to "on collision with ..." thus it has a context of which object you just hit. But you only set a variable to true and then do all the other actions in your Player "is climb". That way it has lost the context and doesnt know which "climber" object you mean when you set the new position, so it chooses the first one.

  • Hi,

tried your capx - even with creating the coin at imagepoint of the player or the playerimage. But it always was off. (Desktop).

It worked though, as i set the Layer that it spawns on to "Main". Strange.

  • Hi,

you may wanna use a couple of different approaches here.

Tiled Background is for repeating parts, there is no way of putting in multiple images here.

So either go reduce your background to a repeated part, and parts that differ and place those parts as sprites or as tiled backgrounds as well.

There is a tutorial in the tutorial section by Ashley which covers performance.

  • I just tried your demo.

My bf was sitting in the back of the other room and was shouting "WOW, that looks awesome! Is that a demo? How much is the full game, let's go buy it".

Gameplay is great, graphics, story, sounds all very professional.

Great work! Can't wait to get (and buy) the full game!

  • jobel I believe Imchucho's example already looks a lot better - still being a little off. Just thought it might have something to do with the perspective of the ship sprite. The example would look tons better if the sprite graphic was more heading toward to screen. Being like this it also moves down a bit as it should be scaling from the middle. Try playing around with its origin point.

  • Hi,

    difficult.

In my opinion its to short of a way from left to right to increase the size that much.

I'd go play around with it moving faster than it's growing and maybe giving the layout more width so it has some space to move and grow.

  • Hi,

so first of all you wanna change your AJAX Request to "http://yourserver.de/variable.php?variable2=" & variable2inConstruct.

There is no need for the $ sign here and you need to specify your server adress.

Second you need to output the content of your processed variable in php. I.g. " echo $variable2; "

    Should work.

Btw. to post the content of your php file you need to serve it as txt. People wont be able to download your php file when its served as php.

  • Hi,

    C2 is a desktop software.

Only the games can be exported to work on mobile devices.

You won't be able to use C2 on your nexus.

  • I'm dying like all of the time. It's fun though, gets me to keep trying and trying.

    Good work.

  • Hi,

  • Yes, tried that as well.

Also looked through your capX and coudnt find anything that's wrong.

  • Hi,

  • It's not about the term "HTML5" - its about the technology behind this.

And obviously canvas won't get lost some time soon. Actually the opposite is going to happen, canvas will be stuffed with more and more features as the standard grows.

You cannot really compare HTML5/Javascript driven game engines to anything Serverside like PHP. PHP is meant to do something entirely different.

Node Webkit does just fine, why don't you just try it and go see for yourself? There is acutally no real downside on this.

  • Hi,

there is a setting in the "Configuration Settings" part where it says "Orientations". Try setting this to "Landscape".

Not all devices support that though.

Also: Check if you are using the latest version of Construct2. I cannot recall some of your settings.

  • Hi part12studios,
