• Hello!

This is my first post here

I am making a simple platformer game and I came across this strange behaviour:

When the character is running to the right (is not mirrored) jump is working.

When he is running to the left(is mirrored) and I try to jump nothing happens.

I can't figure out why this is happening or how to fix it, it's driving me crazy!

Here's the capx file(I uploaded it to mediafire):

mediafire/?ubncu7xjdmbpaqd (cant post links yet, you must and the [dot]com)

It would be awesome if you could tell me how to fix this

    Thank you!

  • Hi,

can't tell what's wrong here. Works for me just fine.

    Awesome character btw.

Here is your link, for others to quick access:

  • Thank you!

Did u try running(holding down Z)and jumping to the left (with the x key)?

  • Works fine here also. Running and jumping fine in both directions.

  • Yes, tried that as well.

Also looked through your capX and coudnt find anything that's wrong.

  • Try Construct 3

  • This is very strange.

I even exported and tried it and still it doesn't let me jump when running left. Guess it's something to do with my laptop.

    Thanks anyway!

edit: I've sent the file to some of my friends and it's working fine for them. Still not working on my laptop. If someone has an explanation for this please let me know

  • Ok, nevermind, I found out what was causing the problem.

This is happening due to keyboard ghosting.

Apparently when the X and Left arrow keys on my keyboard are down, i can't use the Z key.
