  • Hey folks,

Just thinking about having a shuffle around with the forums to keep things tidy. There are a few forums which aren't seeing much activity so I'm considering merging the following forums:

    • Merge Python Scripting in to Construct Discussion and remove old forum
      • Not many posts here, I don't think many people use the Python feature.
    • Merge Construct Codebase and Plugins, Behaviors and Effects in to a single forum for developers - 'Construct Engineering' or something.
      • Not sure why there are two forums here, both are useful but fairly low traffic so may as well combine in to one.

Any objections? Speak now, or forever hold your peace.

  • Sounds good to me. Fewer forums to click "Mark as read" on

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

Isn't that what "Mark forums read" - - is for?

  • I can't do that for every forum, I have to actually read most of them.

  • Well, I gone and done this now anyway.

  • Yowza! I can ACTUALLY see all the forums at a glance!

  • Strange changes, to my mind. Usually more users, more messages lead to a bigger forum with more moderators/admins. Construct grows constantly, there is no need to reduce this forum. Maybe, time to increase the number of mods?

P.S. just my private (paranoid-like) question - are there any reasons out-of-public discussion?

No, just some parts of the forum have been turned into sub-sections. Doesn't look as if anything's been deleted.

Hello, i do have objection about it, even if it is true that there is not so many people who use it.

But it is better to put a sub-section in each of them and i think it is already organized clearly and simplistic on the way is was without the need to reduce them.

  • Hmm... guess you missed the party, I already did it

ok but is there a way to go back?

  • I quite like the python forum. I want to get into the python scripting but i was under the impression its kind of "broken" at the moment?

we should have the python forum in a subforum....

I know this was done just my 2 cents

  • Nobody had actually posted in the python forum for quite some time, and it seemed to get about one post every two weeks, so I think it's fair enough to post your Python questions in the Construct forum. No biggie really, and the forums are tidier.

  • If there are a sudden insurgence of python related topics, perhaps a sub-forum would be in order. Until such time, I will eat this cheese.
