  • Hi guys, this is our first complete title using construct.

Betos Nightmare. Its a zombie shooter and ghost hunter game. Please feel free to download it from our website and try it out. Heres the link.

It was an amazing experience, we are really happy with the capabilities and possibilities that this engine gives to designers.

  • wow, awesome

if there was any weakpoint, I would say it was the parts with regular text. It just looks cheaper than the rest of it

    great job, though

  • YEeeess! I know!, It drove me crazy this problem. We used custom fonts, that looked really cool but we didnt know how to compile them in the Exe file. Were we supposed to put the font files in the installer and installed into peoples windows/fonts directories? Is it right to do this?. Thanks

  • What do you do with the boxes? I know you can move them with the right mouse button, but...?

Anyway, the visuals are outstanding and it's fun to play for a while, but it does get a little repetitive. Do you just have to survive for a specific time, or is there something else that triggers the end of each stage?

  • the idea is that you drag the boxes over the zombie hands that comes out from the dirt. Once you do this for 3 or 4 times, you get the flash light that helps you kill the ghosts. I think all of this should be clear if you play the tutorial in the beginning.

The thing with the survival is true, a few people told me the same. Right now you end up a level once youve cleared the area of a certain amount of zombies, but there is no feedback to the player and I think it doesnt feel right. Anyway thanks for playing and for the critique.

  • Alright, haven't tried the game yet but it seems promising from what I can see. The real point to this post is to help you with the font problem, tough.

You can import the font into the project's resources and use R0J0hound's (awesome) Resource Access plugin. This will allow you to have any font displayed on the game without having the player installing that font <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Here is the plugin: scirra.com/forum/plugin-resource-access_topic39986.html

I'll edit this post tomorrow to give you some feedback, since I'm on a netbook right now.

  • Graphics sure look nice from the screenshot provided.

I will have to check this one out for sure... Zombie games are my Kryptonite.

  • This was really fun, the graphics and music were really good. It would be nice to have more to do though, maybe a bit of exploration, getting from the start of a level to the end rather than just trying to survive. Or maybe have a high score system in place as an added incentive to keep going? The gun and death sound effects could be a bit meatier, too, but the music was good. I did have a lot of fun with this, though, so well done!
