Would it be possible for a plugin that load Gif animations as animation in run time?
Do you really have any practical use for this? Consider how poor the format is compared to others. A better idea would just be more control over the loading of images in sprites, or a dynamic sprite for loading animations in.
I figured it would be best for fighting-platform game, Instead of having like 12 different sprites. yu can have a folder with the characters individual images and load them like that.
Possibly, I think a mod of sprite to be able to load sequences (either from 1 image, or from a zip file) would be far superior though. I do see that being able to load animations at runtime would be useful.

Y'know, I hate it when people just post random images.
It's an animated .png. He's saying "animated .png support would be nice as well."
Or possibly "animated .png is better than animated .gif." One of the two.
Of course, if you're looking at it in IE, then you can't see the animation.
doesn't look animated to me
Go here:

if it says "No" then your browser doesn't support apng.
safari 4 sucks, so buggy in every way
Funny, I see the animation but the site says "No".
