Any Successful game on iPhone using Construct 2

  • No need to phrase things in such an insulting manner. Even rovio had made tons of less successful games before making angry birds. The same thing happened with the developer of flappy bird. What makes a game a hit isn't just the 'quality' of the developer, and you can't judge entirely based upon such things.

    I am not sure the rule of itunes reivew list, maybe you can check "All Review" to see them all.

    It looks like there are 34 reviews on American appstore.

    This game(iOS+Android) earned more than 26000 USD as far as I know,

    it's successful enough for me. As a 3 years C2er, I can't make so much money by one app till now.

    Rocky, the Author of Magnetized is trying to make this game pass through Steam Greenlight and OUYA.

    The webgame early version was already available on Kongregate and Newground.

  • I believe Cut the Rope was made with Construct 2.

  • Cut the rope is HTML5, but i dont think its C2.

  • Correct, there's an HTML 5 version (I don't think the original is HTML 5) but it was not made with C2.

    We've had a decent success with Trambo on iOS. It's not a super hit, but a decent success for a debut game.

    No... I am not thinking negative but I am thinking is anything missing in CS2 or what .... like if cocos2d-x.org people can make big hit game so why not CS2 ... I think CS2 have all things or something missing ....

  • It's only a matter of time, if there isn't something out there making a ton of money already. No one is required to say they used C2 to make their game, so it's hard to tell.

    I think your missing the entire point anyway. How successful a game is depends on the talent creating the game, not so much the tools they used to make them. Owning a paintbrush doesn't make you an artist.

    I think he's missing the point.

    It would be better to look at recent successful games, one by one, and ask yourself "can this game be cloned in construct 2?".

    You'll find that the answer is yes in most cases.

    You'll find that the answer is yes in most cases.

    Certainly a yes for most of them. The only ones where you cannot are MMOs, ie. Clash of Clans.
