  • Hey there,

Here is an idea that would benefit ALL construct Classic and 2 users!

I'm not much of a programmer so this wouldn't even be possible for me right now. But I was thinking that it would be nice if Blender had a 3D to 2D sprite maker similar to spriteforge-3d-2-2d-spriteset-renderer.d-grafix.qarchive.org I left the idea on the Blender forum with no reply yet... But if any handy programmers here could make something and contribute it to Blender than we all would benefit and be able to make Awesome Realistic High-Res 2D sprites to use in our games! Also contributing this to Blender could add some more free advertising for Construct2 and Construct on the Blender Website as well! I would love to be able to construct most of my graphics in Blender and then import them over as Hi-Res Realistic 2D sprites and images and I'm sure many others would also, just a thought! Can anyone here by chance help us to achieve this, just wondering?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • If I needed something I just used render in 3dsmax with alpha background and there you have it.

  • I want something like Spriteforge myself, since Spriteforge doesn't work properly (anymore).

Also, for those of us who do not have 3DSMax, doing what Sagal suggested is irrelevant.

Does anyone know of any other tools like Spriteforge? It's one thing holding me back from using any of my models as sprites, since ZBrush doesn't support specific camera positioning.

Blender is free 3d tool and can do same thing

  • There's also Anim8or, but its very basic, and I believe Povray can be setup to render animations like that.

  • Oh right Newt. I remember making some script to render different point of view around an object (a sphere).

I don't know about animation (other but cam movement) in povray though. Yet, this is a non-expensive solution and pretty easy and highly reusable once you set your first script :)

    Good point !

Yeah I thought it would be possible with pretty much any 3d software?

  • Nice Thanks for the suggestions everyone, working hard here and want to make this game a success! Thanks all, I really appreciate it! :)
