You need to know how to walk before you can run <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Start small with tutorials and examples from forum and after that start your bigger project. How to make a Platform game is a great tutorial that you should read.

As for games, a great platformer made with C2 is Super Ubie Land made by NotionGames

  • You are going to start from scratch for a great game. Nobody is going to give you their "Great Game" for you to use as yours. The whole point of learning the tools is to make your own great game. Making great games in construct 2 is about knowing how to use the tools. How plain something looks has nothing to do with it. You just ad your own nice graphics once you have all the functionality working. Great looks and great gameplay are two very different and distinct pieces. C2 lets you create the gameplay, you have to create the non-plain looking graphics for it.

  • I know. The most crucial part of my game in mind is the cut scenes.I don't know how to do that.(Of course I can use many layers for this but,I want a simpler way)

Somehow, I think that a great game needs a great mechanics + nice some nice audio/visuals can help (But, as "Thomas was alone" (non-C2 game) shows, you can make an incredible game with just grayscale boxes ;-) )

I'm not sure if great cutscenes alone can make a great game, but I wish you success, and I hope to see one :-)

Anyway, have a look at "Arcade" - there are quite a number of games with downloadable source.

You can also take a look e.g. at gamedevelopment.tutsplus.com for more C2 tutorials.

    Merry Christmas!

  • The thing about a 'cut-scene' is that they can be created at any time, even after the game has been completed, and a reference to it added later.

The most important thing is the game.

  • CJK thank you. That website is great. But still I don't know how to do cut scenes.

zenox98 Rory's game has cutscenes made directly from the game.I want to do exactly that.Help pleaseeeeee.
