Feature Request: Remove unused objects

Hey,

I did a quick search and found someone already requested this, but the thread seemed to die off.

I'd love to be able to have a window of all objects that are not on any layout to make it easier to remove them from the project. In that window, I could delete/edit them in the same way I do on the standard object explorer.

I doubt if you create the objects in the current layout from another layout where it has instances, it will appear a error message.

This would be a very useful feature.

I'd also like to be able to delete all unused variables. I've got loads that need sifting from my current project, now I'm using the new functions feature.

Hi! Does anybody know if this is already implemented or plugin-ed? I've been looking for it without success, and that'd be a very good idea indeed.

This is not yet implemented, but is on the todo list.

Ashley, how Todo close are you to implementing this feature? Would be a helpful addition for cleaning up a project before export.

Awesome, could you think about option to remove unused variables on objects or in event sheets?

I'm working on a larger project and since I cant easily track if there are any references to those variables its sometimes hard to clean up project to easier work on it.

My last post in this thread is from 2013. By now all new features are most likely to be postponed to C3.

Has this being implemented yet?

I need to get rid of some variables after used. They are taking memory that I need for many other things.

I think I need the same feature. My project has had many changes and as a result some variables or sprites have become redundant. Is there a quick way to find all unused sprites so they can be removed?

kcalpesh It does, in Construct 3. Construct 2 will not get any new features.

In C3 you can easily find all references for any object or variable.
