Crosswalk Intel XDK experiences

Yep, build fail, same as others with XDK 1536

Looks like Mr. Cranberry has updated his tutorial with new admob plugin settings. Still not working for me though.

The problem isn't the admob plugin. cranberrygame just has moved it from the cordova page to github. The updated tutorial can be found here.

This changes has come with update from 1.0.68 to 1.0.69.

If you use PhonegapGame you need also change the path. See the post above.

Yes it's the same plugin, but this tutorial is outdated. Just check all your plugins if they are up to date and also check the readme files for the plugin pathes. I will update all tutorials on shatter-box.com

Ok even with the updated pathes from cranberrygame it still doesn't work

Pathes causing errors:

So if you use one of the 2 plugins above (Game, AdMob), your crosswalk project will crash. We need to wait for cranberrygame.

The only difference is, that the offical plugin has been developed by scirra, and the PhoneGap AdMob Plugin from cranberrygame. Both are using the same admob plugin at Intel XDK and as far as I know cranberry did work together with scirra to make the AdMob plugin.

I'm not sure why it has stopped working. Maybe it's caused by the latest Intel XDK update or the path is just wrong. But to get clarity we need to wait for cranberrygame's respone.

If you want to compile your game just remove the admob and/or the Game (located in the intelxdk.config.additionals.xml) plugin from Intel XDK's Third Plugin area. You just can add them later again, when all starts working again.

Ouch, I was trying last 4 hours to figure out why it doesn´t work. And now I found this forum posts . Well, are there any other options to bring AdMob adverts to Construct 2 games?

I saw 6bruno6 's log says that com.cranberrygame.phonegap.plugin.ad.admob build failed (xdk ver 1536):

But I succeed to build com.cranberrygame.phonegap.plugin.ad.admob in phonegap cli version 3.6.3-0.2.13

It seems that Goolge Play Service SDK and xdk problem.

Could you check it?

Phonegap Game also uses Goolge Play Service SDK.

i think i might have somthing to do with the PHonegame game plugin too before getting the build breaking error im getting the warning

We think the problem was triggered by the update to https://github.com/MobileChromeApps/goo ... y-services, which cranberrygame's plugin depends upon. We are testing the fix now.

This fixes the build problem. I haven't verified that the ads actually work.

DON'T Check the 'Plugin is located in the Apache Cordova Plugins Registry' box

Add this REPO URL in the last text box

https://github.com/rscohn2/com.cranberr ... .admob.git

I will delete the repo after there is a proper fix.

NOTE: This workaround is no longer needed. I will be deleting the repo in a couple days.
