  • Hi guys,

Any word if C3 will be able to export the games directly to android/ios? I can't take the nightmare of XDK, phonegap and cocoon anymore. And I don't want to switch to Game Maker, it is ugly, non-intuitive, and the UI is doo-doo.

  • I don't think that will happen... Cordova is the future...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Construct 3 will be using the same HTML5 runtime, so it will stay a HTML5 engine. That means, you'll have to use wrappers. Note however that they are improving, so as the ability of the smart devices to support webview applications.

  • PapitoMyKing - No, you will still have to face your nightmares XD . But do not worry for WebGL 2 is coming to improve HTML5 gaming performance.

...sigh, I'll be on the sweet wait then, like pregnant women...

  • I agree with you author. Intel XDK, Cocoon etc are not the solution, poor performance.

I have GAME MAKE STUDIO + EXPORT ANDROID but i hate this program, old interface, unintuitive...

I want to developp mobile appli with construct but we need a real solution to export on android with good performances.

  • Performance problems will not exist in near future. So need to be patience for now and make light apps or really focus on optimisation.

Anyway time is on our side

  • really whats wrong with cocoon.io !?!?!?!??!!?!

  • @ Mahdi71 Example:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... et.gaelsev

My mobile game made with construct, exported by cocoon. (i already tried with intel XDK)

On a GALAXY S4 the framerate are very bad (under 30), you need a mobile like galaxy S6 to have 60 FPS.

It's simple game, i worked a lot on the optimization for mobile device but impossible to have a constant good fps.

Nothing much, I get 60fps using physics (chipmunk) everyTicks and a couple of loops.

  • Zebbi & gaelsev

i will agree for native exports but scirra will not do that ! i mention cocoon.io because its the best option for now!

Could you show me your example and your device ?

I've not finished it yet, but I tested on a Sony Xperia Z and a Nexus 7 2013.

  • And here I was hoping that Ashley would make some huge announcement about construct3 on GDC... Ah well

Your game runs perfectly fine on my HTC One M7. Both the Galaxy S4 and M7 are basically identical, are they not?. How are you getting such bad performance?
