  • ones you make revenue from your game by selling the game with his song inside then you will have to give the guy a % or buy a license from him, but... if you game is free, and you have only adds and in-game monetary system that doesn't require for the game to be bought. then your partially safe.

but you still use the song in a potential making cash game, so he might contact you first then if you dont answer will sue you.

and yes if you did used some people songs, well its not always necessarily for u to add the credit line for the song, unless he specifically asks for. so you'd be impressed how easy is to get a song to be licensed. and i wold suggest you to contact the sellers or the author, to get a license from him, and will make your life much easier later, if you contact let him know ur a startup developer and u need a cheap license of the song and he will make you a list of prices or tell u if he will charge u anything. i hope it helps, you have to contact the author or the people that has the publishing rights, which is stated in the song download page.

  • mahdi71 i see your point, but then as a business pay per compiling if its to low the fee you wont make enough, to pay the card processing fees, if its to high nobody will buy it ? so its a tricky thing to start a business like that, im telling you the idea its awesome, it wold change the C2 as we know it, i personally dont use unity, but if the plugin to import c2 project into unity can be made, and it can, that wold make a lot of things much easier the thing is for you now to think how to avoid or get the OK from scirra cause unity i think they have their own SDK for plugins same as scirra has so that wold be one problem less to worrie about from their side. good luck. hope you manage to make it

well thats quite simple, if you have the images and the sounds already created for the words or letters you want the sound to be played then its all more of a puzzle then coding,

basically you will need 1 general sprite that has all images if you want to use 1 big sprite and just change its frame.

if not then you can create multiple spriteobjects in the project list and then add the images for each 1

next you will need to add mouse or touch object and audio object

then search for the touched/clicked object ( if frame 1 or N this is only for 1 general sprite with multiple frames)

condition then add an action for the sound you want to play from the sound object actions, wold be something like play sound not looping. thats all. you can also add a safety condition taking in consideration the sounds if they are playing or not, so when u press on images wont overlap. the safety condition should compare if any other sounds are playing if they are then do nothing if they dont then play the audio for that image. its way easier then how it sounds by reading this crappy description i did.. but i hope puts you on the right path.. also there are a few free capx files around the forum that does exactly that.. you can search them and see how the author made them its basically the simplest and basic way to use C2 in this kind of games.

never had to move to another engine, but i never mentioned what tools i use, i just mentioned html5 thats all. and 90% of them dont have a problem with it. they even encourage it, however not sure what wold happen if id say Construct2 ... i think most of companies look at tools based on their communities and the community progress and publishing, so that means, if the arcade in community is what they evaluate the C2 for its never going to be a good product to use. since all arcade games are same cloned templates low quality buggy things.

but if there wold be more quality content and good performance products i think they'l reconsider, also its a matter of marketing C2 .. i seen a few issues along side.. and some people are ranting at C2 cause they dont know really what it is but what they read from others(good example Pencyl - i changed the initial letter for not making them look bad- its a flash similar to c2 game engine, that has a similar community but .. its supported by haxe and ... tadadadaaaa Kongregate.. and we all know what its going on kongregate forums... well lets just say its a part of that bar corner where everything smells fishy and people are not worth trusty... and considering that most companies are using kongregate... they also see news feeds and user updates which rant the usage of c2 after trying it 1 time - by 1 time im saying like 30 seconds- or by playing some crappy demo games... and also to mention that most of this people dont know the difference from a demo and final product but hey.. i dont judge... * please santa...* )

however letting all the things that annoys me most in the web wide world, its all about how you sell your skill sets i guess. no big company will actually tell you what they are using... i seen a indie game company saying they do game right? so i asked the support for some more details of what they where using, and they where saying to me.. that all code its in html5 .. however when i got my source back... i got a html5 browser compiled game and funny a archive with the source files containing a caproj.. i wont say the business name but its pretty big and its funny cause if you check their website there is no mention of the tools what they use.. but.. they using .. so i think in end what you dont know doesn't hurts you right? ) same goes for the people you will work for.

i hope i made any sense ... and im not just losing my mind..

    Cheers,

    George

  • Check the comments. 2 years of hard work, and the guy "unsubscribes because i didn't make the game from scratch", just because i said i used C2.

    Subscribe to Construct videos now

Do you have this issue too with some people?

yea that guy is talking out of his monkey **** sorry for the expression but thats what he left me think about him,

as for subscribers part, dont worrie about subscribers. they come they go, its same in religion, people will always have their own opinions, and they will come and leave as they please, not because you did a bad or good job, but because maybe wasn't their thing in the beginning. i wouldn't worrie to much. if you want to grow more subscribers just add as much content you can, update as soon, and how many times you can. in time i think youl get it where you want, congratulations on the DynoSystem its awesome to see some good game made in C2.

  • how you tried, floor(nr) int(nr) or round(nr)? however they wont show you the decimals at all, but the 1st number, i.e 10.012321321 its going to be 10! 11.12312312321321 will be 11 and so on.. there is another way to do it, by eliminating the number of digits to show... there was a capx in the tutorials section ... its supposed to show from a number as 12.12321312 only the amount of digits you want as specified in the event sheet lets say you cant to show only the 2 digits after the . the number will be shown as 12.12 i think thats what you want... but forgot the link, its for sure about decimals search eliminating or removing decimals in tutorial section link

  • SOLVED!

Just created a plugin called Audiostream which allows to stream and stop playing online streams.

can we get access to it?:D if you dont mind sharing thats all, i wont mind donating or purchasing it from u

  • We need to rebuild several Flash games in HTML5. Most are not shoot 'em up games. There are online coloring, create a scene with image stamps, and learning games, such as pressing a key on the keyboard to get a letter with a representative object and sound, such as "B," "bird," "tweet tweet."

Is Construct 2 a good tool for these types of games?

    Thanks

yes all those are possible, i have a few templates that proves that and there are a few free templates(from scirra forum users) that has the sound learning techniques in them, but not sure what image stamps stands for. but im pretty sure its possible.

as for the flood filling games like , i have a demo here, its a premium template, needs more polishing, but heh proves thats possible...

its basically what helena said but somehow different, it involves small image parts which have an color effect, and a color table, and as Helena said it can get cpu intensive if your doing it the way i did, and forget to compress the images and cut the empty spaces..

but however regardless the above mentions, you dont need any custom plugins in order to do it, is all possible by using c2 own effects, behaviors and objects.

  • as stupid i may sound, it does not matter how many "on start of layout" you have in your event sheet. but the reading from top to bottom does matter so if u have 10 or 20 on start of layout make sure the 1st line doesn't depend on the 2nd or 20th line "of start of layout" im always using 2 or 3 triggers of the same type but im always adding a extra condition to most of them, so it can be recognized as a different process basically its a preloading action. i hope it helped u, and hope im right about what i encountered so far.
